Massive demonstration; bureaucratic union leader expelled for attempting to end labour actions against the pro-USA government's attack by Rodrigo Paz
Amid shouts and chants, they demanded rolling back Decree 5503, against the gasoline price hike, and shouted, "Out with the incompetent government!" in the 14 de Septiembre Square, in Cochabamba, various sectors of residents from the OTB (Territorial Base Organizations) and workers gathered, expressing their outrage at the impact of the government's brutal attack on the exploited sectors while guaranteeing profits for big business owners.
They also kicked out a leader from district 8 who wanted to end the protest and the strike measures; he was quickly pushed out by the rank and file workers shouting "Sold-out leaders! Out, out!" and continued the struggle by self-organizing and even calling for the formation of a blockade committee to guarantee the continuation of the struggle.
