Ten years ago, Abu Al Baraa, a Trotskyist leader of the Leon Sedov Brigade, fell in Syria under the bullets of the fascist al-Assad and the butcher Putin, in the struggle to break the siege of Aleppo in 2016. In 2011, as part of the huge revolutionary process had begun, as part of the mass uprisings that broke out throughout the Maghreb and the Middle East.
Abu Al Baraa fell raising the banners of the Fourth International and fighting for the victory of the revolution in Syria. He and his comrades considered this revolution of workers, peasants and committees of rank and file soldiers as a link of a single revolution that had to take a giant step by taking over Damascus and Jerusalem.

Abu Al Baraa was part of an internationalist revolutionary faction, of that rebellious youth who embraced the banners of Trotskyism and fought on the front line against the fascist al-Assad and the butcher Putin, which did the dirty work for imperialism of massacring the masses. Today, the world refromist left, friends with Putin and supporters of al-Assad, wants to hide that these genocides massacred 600,000 workers and exploited, devastated the workers neighbourhoods of all Syrian cities, forced 15 million to take shelter in tents in the middle of nowhere and had hundreds of thousands of political prisoners under torture to death in the tomb-jails.
But also Abu Al Baraa, together with that Trotskyist youth, also fought against those who sold out the revolution from within, and against the leaderships that slandered and discredit the revolution at international level, providing al-Assad a carte blanche to massacre at will.

He fought this battle alongside our international current, as a member of the Editorial Board of the Trotskyist paper The International Workers' Organizer.
Today, his struggle is still alive in the hands of his comrades, the Trotskyists that fight the same dog with different collar, which is Al Jolani, the expropiator of the revolution and agent of Trump and Netanyahu.

The fight of Abu Al Baraa with the masses of Syria and Middle East is more current now than ever as part to re-found the Fourth International.

On this October 24, 2024, we pay tribute to our comrade Abu Al Baraa, fallen 8 years ago. We also pay tribute to over 15 Trotskyist martyrs that also left their lives together with hundreds of thousands of murdered.

Our current has the honor to had been in the front line of the struggle in the revolutions that broke out in Maghreb and Middle East since 2011.

We then pay tribute to Abu Al Baraa, saying his battle is not over, but continues fighting against Al Jolani, the expropriator of the revolution, agent of Trump and Netanyahu, and to open the fronts against Zionism to fight together with the masses in Gaza that resist in the last line.

The new fronts are in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, also USA and specially today in France, Portugal, Italy and the entire Europe.

We pay tribute to the 600,000 martyrs of the Syrian revolution and with them, we pay tribute to the martyrs of the Palestinian resistance and their heroic fighters who defend their families, their homes and their land against genocidal Zionism.
