The Syrian masses rise up again
confronting rising fuel prices and the unbearable cost of living

Today, roads across the country have been blocked and demonstrations have taken place in Idlib, Aleppo, Damascus, Hasakah, Deir ez-Zor, Azaz, Khan Shaykhun, Hama, and throughout Syria, fighting the rising price of fuel, a basic necessity not only for transportation but also for heating, cooking, generating electricity, and operating drinking water pumps. Furthermore, with the fuel price increase, all prices will rise, and the already extremely high cost of living will become unbearable.
Border crossings with Turkey were also blocked, disrupting the business dealings of Erdogan and the Syrian merchants who profit from the people's hunger. The vital M4 highway, which connects the oil-producing region to the port of Latakia, was also cut off.

Syria is a nation whose infrastructure was demolished by al-Assad, who, with Putin, bombed and reduced working-class neighborhoods to rubble, massacring hundreds of thousands of Syrians and forcing nearly 15 million refugees to flee their homes, leaving them unable to rebuild their homes. The people gave their lives to overthrow al-Assad and left behind martyrs in this fight, and yet, we have neither bread, nor work, nor housing...

Just like with al-Assad yesterday, now with al-Jolani the people can't take it anymore

We can't stand living in tents anymore. We can't stand enduring unemployment and lack of opportunities, having to live hand-to-mouth, and suffering starvation wages we are paid for 12-hour shifts—if we are lucky enough to find a job, which is always temporary. We can't stand prices constantly rising, making it impossible to buy what we need… And on top of that, now these thieving merchants and the minister of energy announce they are going to rob even more of our hard work by raising prices!
Oil companies, big capitalists, and the generals make super-profits, while the people don't even have work. Enough is enough!

We, the workers, have taken back to the streets, blocking roads and bringing everything to a standstill because we will no longer tolerate this. We demand wage increases that keep pace with the cost of living! We demand decent work for all!
There are funds! It is in our oil! We must nationalize all the oil companies without compensation and under workers' control! Let's expropriate the banks from which the people's wealth is stolen!
Enough of thieving businessmen and rulers! Enough of businessmen who enriched themselves before with al-Assad at the expense of the people's blood and today with al-Jolani by starving the workers! Enough of al-Jolani!

No one voted for this government! Let a Syrian revolutionary national assembly be convened, with one delegate for every 10,000 inhabitants, recallable at any time by their constituents, and earning the wage of a worker! Let it assume executive, legislative, and judicial powers. To give land to the ruined small peasants and break with all imperialist powers.
