Motion in solidarity with the Syrian people
We, Metro Workers of San Pablo, gathered together in an assembly, want to express our outrage on the hard bombings on the Syrian population that is in Aleppo and other cities, made by the regime of the dictator Bashar el-Assad. The targets (schools, hospitals, UN humanitarian aid convoy) result in thousands of dead and wounded, besides the generalized destruction. There are half a million dead, more than a million wounded, half of the population as refugees inside and outside the country, and several towns and cities destroyed.
We demand the withdrawal of all the foreign military forces such as the US and Russian air forces, as well as the Turkish army, the ground militias of the Lebanese Hezbollah, and Daesh (the self-called Islamic State) and other sectarian foreign militias.
We also demand the end of the siege on Aleppo and other besieged areas, with the immediate arrival of humanitarian aid convoy to all these areas, as well as access to medical teams and equipment of MSF (doctors without borders), the Red Cross and the Red Crescent.
Finally, we want to express our solidarity to the Syrian population in the struggle for the end of the dictatorship and the right of the Syrian people to decide its future in sovereignty.
