From the family and the militancy comrades of David Soria, we announce that he passed away today at 9am in the Hospital of Pacheco, where he was admitted yesterday.
The causes of what happened are not clear for us.
The doctors say he passed away because of a cardiorespiratory arrest, which is yet to be confirmed because of the current conditions of the developing pandemic.
David had a condition of diabetes and high pressure. He said he had difficulties to swallow since late hours of Saturday. He was together with his children and comrades that assisted him.
The ambulance went to his place two times, on Sunday and Monday early in the morning.
In the first visit of the ambulance, on Sunday, they gave him a shot that according to the doctors was a diuretic.
As his health got worse, he kept calling the ambulance again on Sunday night and the early hours of Monday. The ambulance kept saying it could not arrive.
The ambulance only came at 6am on Monday and they detected that his health got worse but, according to them, not enough to take him to a medical facility. They told him to go by his own means to the Diagnosis Centre of Tigre for some studies.
Since then, his health continued to get worse.
Seeing this situation, his family and comrades, by their own means, took him to the Diagnosis Centre of Tigre. In there, they detected a lung infection together with the high pressure and diabetes condition, as the doctors reported.
A Covid-19 test was requested to the professionals from both, the ambulance and the Diagnosis Centre of Tigre, to discard that disease.
Yesterday, he was taken to the Hospital of Pacheco. Today, Tuesday, the hospital told David’s son that he passed away at 9am.
His body is still in the Hospital of Pacheco, waiting for the proper tests results.
We are reporting to the workers of Paty, the Commission of Convicted Workers, Families and Friends of Las Heras of which David was part, and to all the struggle organizations of the Argentinean working class and internationally about this sad news for his comrades of the struggle, of the factory and for the ones that fight for socialism together with him.
We will keep you updated on the news. We are awaiting his body to be delivered.
It is a sad news and a heavy blow for all of us.
