HAITI - March 30, 2024
By means of military occupations, US Imperialism turned Haiti into a protectorate supervised by the UN, plunging it into barbarism. Today, Haitian masses are driven to desperation by the violence of mercenary gangs financed by the bourgeoisie…
Now the US, its military bases and the UN, are preparing a new incursion and with it new superior offensives in Latin America…
OUT WITH THE UN FROM HAITI!
NO TO THE US INVASION!
Out with the puppet government put by imperialism!
Out with the USA and the IMF!
We must disarm the paramilitary bands of the bourgeoisie and set up the workers' and poor people's militias!
Banks, companies and lands must be expropriated without compensation and under the control of the workers! Only then will the hungry masses be able to eat!
We must unite in a single fist the struggle of “electricity and food” of the Cuban masses with the Haitian masses, on the path for the socialist revolution!
To capitalist barbarism, let us oppose the worker and peasant revolution!
In this fight, the key to victory lies in the US working class’ struggle that can stop the imperialist beast from within: One same revolution in the US, Central America and the continent!
In Haiti, in recent years, the social, political and economic crisis, with extreme misery, barbarism and fascism to which capitalism has led, has deepened even further. This is the result of the brutal imperialist looting that has left a nation strangled by the IMF, and which the US, under the cover of the UN, has transformed into a protectorate by means of successive military occupations. Thus they have turned Haiti into the most impoverished nation in Latin America. In the 21st century, more than half of the population suffers from famine, with records of cannibalism and slavery; 40% of the population is illiterate and facing diseases such as cholera (introduced by MINUSTAH, the first “mission” of the UN).
Likewise, there are also about 340 thousand emigrants who are used as slave labor by the different bourgeoisies of neighboring countries because they escape from Haiti due to hunger or the violence and repression of the paramilitary gangs that, in the midst of the disintegration of the army, have taken over the streets.
These “gangs” that the bourgeois press passes off as “organized crime gangs” are actually bands composed by former police officers and members of the army, mercenaries who are recruited and paid by the different oil companies and other businessmen, who represent different bourgeois cliques such as the coup plotter Guy Philippe from the Front pour la Reconstruction Nationale. Each bourgeois clique disputes their territories to defend their businesses and to see who will be the new administrator of the US puppet state. Imperialism lets this happen because these gangs are also there to control and terrorize with fascism the exploited in the working-class neighborhoods, filling them with corpses piled up in the streets, so that the hungry masses do not revolt as they did in 2018, in a revolutionary struggle against imperialism and its puppet government.
Under these conditions the crisis has worsened. After the assassination of former President Moïse (on July 7, 2021), Ariel Henry took office, who two days before Moïse's death had been named Prime Minister with the support of the Core Group, which is made up of UN representatives in Haiti, the Organization of American States (OAS), the European Union and a group of ambassadors from Canada, Brazil, France, Germany, Spain, led by USA. However, Henry refused to call presidential elections, extending his mandate, which unleashed the fury of the exploited who came out in large demonstrations in different parts of the country that lasted 3 days featuring blockades of important roads with burning tires and clashes with the police demanding his resignation. Henry responded with a state of siege and the paramilitary bands of the bourgeoisie also came out to prevent the generalization of the protests. Under these conditions, Henry announced his resignation weeks ago, which would become effective when the Transitional Presidential Council is set up. This TPC would be appointed by the council of state with members of the nations of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), along with the US Secretary of State, Blinken, and the oligarchic businessmen of Haiti and thus form a government of “national unity.” Meanwhile the state of siege continues, prohibiting demonstrations and movement through the streets to the exploited.
That is to say, in the midst of chaos, US imperialism has the last word on Haiti since it has transformed it into a true protectorate and its plans even include a military invasion with its troops, as announced by Laura Richardson, the head of the SouthCom. With the excuse of “peace and tranquility” they want to invade that country again, which has unleashed the hatred of the Haitian people because they know that the UN only brings more misery and hunger. And there is no doubt that this imperialist plan is to prepare new superior offensives throughout the continent.
The treasons of Castroism to the revolutionary struggle of the masses in the Americas have imposed barbarism in Haiti and misery in Cuba
What many people want to hide is that Haiti today is a by-product of the treasons of Castroism and Stalinism to the Latin American and US revolution, because when the masses most needed to make a new socialist Cuba, as in the anti-imperialist struggles of Haiti, it was the Castroism which said that “socialism is no more” and like a stab in the back to the masses of the continent they restored capitalism in Cuba, handing it over to misery and looting. When the only way out for Haiti was to be a new worker and peasant Cuba, Stalinism prevented it and now Cuba is on its way to being a new Haiti, with a handful of multimillionaire gusanos coming from the bowels of the CCP, who recently met with the gusanos of Wall Street to exchange business.
This is the greatest treason to the proletariat, because in 2018 the Haitian masses rose up in a huge anti-imperialist struggle, which, by failing to take power, ended with the UN and its United Nations Mission for Justice Support in Haiti (MINUJUSTH) invading together with the Bolivarian governments (friends of the Castros) of Bolivia, Argentina, Brazil that sent their “Gurkha” and murderous military troops, who went to save the bourgeois regime and abort that revolutionary process. Already in 2019, the masses of Haiti continued their fight against the government of businessman Moïse, who was a criminal that had stolen US$ 3.8 billion from the oil business coming from Venezuela, while the masses suffered from hunger. When the UN left Haiti in 2019, it left several bourgeois gangs organized to guarantee defending each of the interests of the imperialist gangs.
The anti-imperialist struggle of the Haitian masses was what anticipated the revolutionary process of 2019-2021, like the hunger fight of the Cuban masses against the Castro regime. In that fighting, the working class and poor peasants of Latin America cornered and led to crisis the governments of imperialism in the region.
The workers of Latin America were already carrying the burden imposed on them by that scam of the “Bolivarian Revolution”, which ended with the Castros handing over Cuba to imperialism. With all that burden on them, the rebellious masses in Colombia confronted the regime of the military bases. In Ecuador, the government of Lenin Moreno was fleeing the capital Quito, which was taken by an uprising of workers and peasants. In Chile, it's capital Santiago burned and the Plaza de la Dignidad and La Alameda were occupied. The working class also entered open battle against Bolsonaro and his arch-reactionary government in Brazil. Meanwhile, with the mass cry of “Now, civil war!” the perpetrators of the fascist coup of Áñez and Camacho in Bolivia were sent to the garbage dump.
As part of this process we could see the Cuban masses rise up for hunger in 2021 against the Castroite regime, the traitors who in the name of "socialism" plunged Cuba into misery and, acting as a new bourgeoisie, handed over the island to capitalism. Today Castroism has transformed Cuba into Haiti. As we said previously, the catastrophe in Cuba, where capitalism was restored, makes it historically regress to the conditions of misery of the 19th century, which is even worse than in slavery, since at least in that mode of production the slaves ate. Today, in capitalist barbarism, slaves have the freedom to starve. But it is against all that, that the heroic Cuban masses came out confronting the Castroite regime's police.
Unfortunately, with the old traps of the popular fronts and governments of class collaboration supported by Stalinism, the union bureaucracies supported by the renegades of Trotskyism, betraying the struggles and dividing the mass offensives, subjected the exploited to scams of “Constituent Assemblies”, of electoral deviations and fronts with bourgeois who proclaimed themselves “progressives.” In this way, the greatest treason was carried out against the black working class and the entire US working clas, who in their mobilizations in 2020 clashed with the repressive forces and burned police stations shouting “abolish the police” while the big bourgeoisie trembled in fear and Trump was hiding 14 meters underground in the White House bunker. Unfortunately, US workers were taken off the streets and led to support the butcher and murderer Biden against the “fascist” Trump. And they generalized that policy throughout the continent, calling to support our bourgeois executioners, dressing them as “progressive” against the “reactionaries” throughout the continent. Such a bunch of scoundrels!
Today it is these governments that managed to stabilize the revolutionary attacks and deepen the IMF's hunger plans and imperialist looting, as Petro does in Colombia. In Chile he has his exemplary student Boric, who, supported by Stalinism, applies all the plans of colonization and surrender to imperialism, just like the coup leader Dina Boluarte in Peru who is supported by the Stalinist bureaucracy of the CGTP directed by Patria Roja and the PCP.
This is why the barbaric situation imposed on the masses of Haiti is the byproduct of the treasons of Castroism and Stalinism to the revolution throughout the Americas. It is this treason of Castroism with the strangulation of the Latin American revolutions on which imperialism Is relying to launch a recolonization offensive and lead to the historical collapse of the Latin American nations, to their colonization and to barbaric states like Haiti, as it threatens to happen in Ecuador and now in Argentina with Milei. Today we see caravans of immigrants, of the pariahs in Central America, hundreds of them are Haitians who are trying to escape from the miserable conditions of barbarism and who head to the borders of USA in search of better conditions and only find prison and repression.
Due to these betrayals, the imperialist offensive in the region is now openly leading these countries to barbarism and counterrevolutionary coups such as in Peru or Bolivia have become the order of the day. It is imperialism with Biden that comes with a plan to grab all the raw materials throughout the continent and does not do it with more “democracy”. We can already see what he is capable of, un his commanding Zionism and its massacre and ethnic cleansing in Palestine to keep the land and gas. Now imperialism is setting up Guantánamo as a “refuge” for Haitians so that it can turn into a concentration camp like Gaza. Death to imperialism!
We must break with the politics of Stalinism and the entire left, which only promote the submission of the Latin American working class to their native bourgeoisies, regimes and governments. We must coordinate a continental struggle to expel imperialism from Latin America. Our allies are not these governments of liars and deceivers of the people, dressed as “progressives” while receiving instructions from the US American Embassies and their military bases.
Today, faced with the situation in Haiti, these organizations that call themselves revolutionary such as the PTS of Argentina, the LIT and the entire left remain silent and do not explain to the masses that what has led to the social-political catastrophe is that the traitors of Stalinism handed over Cuba and transformed it today into a Haiti. This is the tragedy, the socialist revolution was handed over and the traitors of Havana and their followers, the renegades of Trotskyism, are directly responsible. Even more, all the former Trotskyists of the world met in Havana to court the “left wing” of the new bourgeoisie of the Cuban Communist Party. They are but a lot of scumbags.
This left is the one that covers up the betrayals of Stalinism throughout the continent applying its policy of seeking allies in the “progressive” bourgeoisie against the “advance of the extreme right.”
But our allies are neither the Sanders nor the Biden, partners on Wall Street in the same businesses as the Trumps and their gang, but among the American working class. They are our best allies who have stood up today against the genocide in Palestine by Zionism, which is commanded by Biden.
Against the barbarism that capitalism has brought to Haiti, transformed into an enslaved colony... Open the road to the worker and peasant revolution! The alternative is either Socialism or Barbarism!
Faced with the misery and crisis that is growing today in Haiti and throughout the continent, no sector of the bourgeoisie that rides on the just hatred of the masses can be trusted: We must break with the bourgeoisie and unite the struggle in one same Latin American attack against imperialism! No confidence in that Presidential Transition Council, which has defined a government of “national unity” that will be at the service of USA and the plundering of Haiti!
We have to set up the power of those below, that of the workers and exploited: For a workers and peasants’ congress to unify the ranks of workers and set up the councils of workers and poor peasants, coordinated, centralized and armed! Out with the government of Ariel Henry, puppet of imperialism! Out with the UN, the US and the IMF! Down with the state of siege!
We must set up the workers' and poor people's militias: To disarm the paramilitary bands of the bourgeoisie and expropriate the banks, companies and lands without compensation and under the control of the workers! Only then will the hungry masses be able to eat!
For a provisional revolutionary worker and peasant government, based on the self-organized bodies of the armed masses!
Open the road to the unity and struggle of the working class of the Americas!
After plunging Haiti into barbarism, the USA is preparing to land there and prepare superior military offensives in Latin America. Before it is too late, from all workers' organizations on the Americas, let us fight for: OUT WITH THE UN FROM HAITI! NO TO THE US INVASION! FOR A SINGLE ANTI-IMPERIALIST CONTINENTAL STRUGGLE OF WORKERS AND POOR PEASANTS together with the US American working class, to fight against the governments, the regimes and their supporters the union bureaucracies, to expel US imperialism and its military bases from Haiti and all of Latin America. Because, only in the unity of the working class we can stop imperialism that today comes with a colonial plan over the entire Latin America as we see in Argentina, Ecuador or Peru.
Out with the Core Group! Out with the IMF from Haiti and the Americas! The imperialist transnational corporations, their banks and their lands, must be expropriated without compensation and under workers' control!
The fight of the Haitian masses against hunger is the same as that of the Cuban masses who today come out shouting “electricity and food” against the regime of the Castroite new bourgeoisie. A single fight to resume the path of socialist revolution in Central America and the entire Americas! “Electricity and food” for the Haitian masses!
The only decisive ally for the Haitian and Latin American masses, who can stop the war machine with a general strike to hit at the heart of the imperialist beast and stop its colonization offensive in the region, is the powerful US American proletariat. With its strength we can deepen the revolutionary struggle throughout the continent to stop imperialism that only brings barbarism to the exploited.
