International Action Day of homage to Leon Trotsky,
83 years after his assassination at the hands of Stalinism
Amir Hakim Al Amery, revolutionary fighter for the Syrian and Palestinian cause in Europe
"Leon Trotsky taught us the way for the triumph of the world workers' revolution in all the countries that are oppressed by tyrants who even today are killing and massacring our sibling workers all over the world."
We give the floor to a comrade who knew and knows how to carry the banners of the Syrian revolution to the heart of the European working class, who usually stands up even many times alone in the squares, in the metropolis of the old continent to make clear who are the allies and who are the enemies of the world working class. To make clear what is the position we have to hold wherever we are on the planet and as always, with his chest high, facing all those who slander him and have even tried to beat him when he raised the flags not only of the Syrian revolution but also the flags of the Palestinian revolution, with all that this implies. Without further words, we give the floor to comrade Amir:
Amir:
Thank you very much for that presentation, my friend, brother and comrade. Greetings to all revolutionaries who are gathered for the commemoration of the anniversary of the death of our leader Leon Trotsky.
Leon Trotsky taught us the way for the triumph of the world workers' revolution in all the countries that are oppressed by tyrants who even today are killing and massacring our sibling workers all over the world.
Good afternoon to all, thank you very much for this occasion that you give me to be able to speak for all the oppressed, especially in Syria and Palestine. Greetings from my heart to the Peruvians who are fighting against this dictatorship, against this tyranny of the Peruvian dictator, and we are going to win! Let's fight together from Syria to Peru, from Chile to Bolivia, to Honduras. They are always in our hearts.
Three days ago I went to a demonstration to commemorate the Ghouta massacre, which the al-Assad regime committed against children, women and men, who only wanted freedom, democracy and dignity. More than 1600 civilians died that day, August 21, 2013 and not only that day. It was not only that chemical bombing. There were many other massacres that have been recorded to this day.
And now in Syria, again, after more than 12 years, we are going back. We are going back to the revolutionary process as in 2011, in Swayda, in Damascus, in Homs, in Aleppo, in Raqqa, in Deir ez Zor, in Daraa. In all these cities, Syrians are no longer afraid. They are no longer afraid to go out on the streets.
The hymn of the Syrians is: Oh people, oh young people come out of your houses, you must go out to the streets, because also in your houses you are not safe! And it is like that.
Thank you very much. With all my heart, my love for the revolution and my love for you. Thank you very much.
