The FIT is in an “anti-Milei” parliamentary front with the bosses’ parties of the US embassy
The FIT claims that by forming a front with the PJ and sectors of the UCR and the PRO they can deal “defeats” to Milei in the Parliament. FIT did so against the Omnibus Law and the Bases Law and today they are doing the same with the pensions, calling for a demonstration (and even telling the bureaucracy to call a strike) on September 11 to “put pressure on the Parliament” and “defeat” Milei’s veto.
They want to show a “vigorous” Parliament, which would have left Milei “in crisis” because it voted against him on the issues of pensions, educational budget and SIDE (intelligence services) funds.
The FIT insists on its policy of class collaboration to subject the workers to its “anti-Milei” political front with the bosses’ parties in the Congress. They want the workers to believe that with the help of the bosses’ politicians, Milei can be “put in crisis”… In other words, they want the capitalist parties to confront the capitalist government! As if there were a bourgeois sector that could be an ally of the working class and the exploited, when the PJ, the UCR and the PRO are all as servants of Stanley as Milei himself.
Today, the employers' parties in the Parliament, far from "leaving Milei in crisis", are engaging in demagogy with a mockery of an "increase" in pensions (AR$17,000!), when they have been decisively supporting the government's attack, which even took away the pensioners' medicines.
The FIT is covering up this demagogy and using it to rekindle illusions in the Parliament and in these lackey parties. Bregman had already said that if Milei vetoed the increase and the bill returned to Congress, the FIT would support that misery that the Peronists and UCR want to give to the pensioners... It is a slap in the face to the fight for a 82% moving pension!
While FIT supports the parliamentary farce of the employers' parties, in the unions, it is responsible for subjecting the militant workers to the union bureaucracy, which isolates and divides the resistance struggles, in order to support Milei.
Izquierda Socialista (Socialist Left), which is leading Neuquén teachers' strike, has not launched a call to all opposition sections and militant groups to send delegates to Neuquén to break the isolation of the CTERA bureaucracy and to prevent Guagliardo to surrender the fight. Its policy is to meet with Moyano to ask him for a national strike, washing the clothes of that scab who does not move a finger for the teachers' struggle.
In the SUTNA (tyre workers union), which has been suffering layoffs for months, the PO leadership has not yet called to set up a national struggle committee to unify the workers' resistance.
The PTS has just launched a petition to impose a general strike to the bureaucracy, as if a general strike could be resolved with signed papers.
At Acindar, Miguez, a member of Política Obrera and the main leader of the factory union committee, accepted furloughs and dismissals without a fight.
The FIT does not fight for “class independence” because it does not call for coordinating the workers’ resistance, breaking with the bosses’ parties and self-organizing from the bottom to the top, to defeat the hated bureaucracy.
It is time for the FIT to break with the bosses' parties and all submission to the Peronist union bureaucracy!
