Acindar announces dismissals of 200 outsourced workers and at least 100 contracted workers. Enough! We must stop the bosses!

Last week it was announced that the Acindar-Arcelor Mittal management would lay off 200 workers from contracting companies and around 100 plant employees at the end of January. Meanwhile, also that week, the board of directors of UOM Villa Constitución and the Internal Commission of Acindar announced that they would sit down to negotiate the method and percentages of the renewal of the suspension agreement for permanent workers. Thus, already last year saying that “ the layoffs were coming like in 1991”, they not only accepted suspensions, dozens of “voluntary retirements”, dismissals of contracted colleagues but in the midst of a brutal attack they left the workers discussing precarious agreements, sector by sector.
This is the policy of  Furlán, from UOM trade union treacherous bureaucracy, at a national level, to save the businesses of the "national industry" bosses so that we, the workers, are the ones who pay for their alleged crisis.

Outsourced workers in Acindar, mostly grouped in branch 17, have been suffering multiple attacks from the company, being under pressure to accept voluntary retirements with 50% of the compensation, firing those who file complaints through ART (insurance service of working risks). In addition, the company did not comply tothe points of the previous agreements on furloughs.
On the other hand, while the steelworkers in branch 21 have had their salaries "frozen" since June of last year, since there has been no update in the collective bargain agreement for 8 months, Furlán sold out the branch 17 metalworkers' wages in the recent hunger collective bargain agreements, fit to Milei's limits... All the sellout agreements of the union bureaucracy must be ignored!
Both the UOM board and the Internal Commission of Acindar let all these attacks from the employers to pass without any struggle, saying that there is low production so “nothing can be done.” The company's attack does not stop and imposed 200 “voluntary retirements” under pressure.

Enough is enough! The bosses are coming for everything. We have to go and get them for what is ours!

Enough of dividing us between outsourced and contracted, between branch 17 and branch 21, we are all metalworkers! Unity of the workers and those who don't like it are screwed!

The Villa Constitución and San Nicolás is one of the areas with the highest unemployment rate. Reduce the working day without a reduction in wages! One more shift in all the factories, in Acindar and the area, so that the unemployed can enter to work!

The Acindar-Arcelor Mittal management made millions of dollars not only in Argentina but in all its subsidiaries around the world, including in China, where it bought or partnered with huge steel companies in that country to sell steel to the world. They must show us their accounting books! In there we will find the evidence that these exploiters have money to spare!
Expropriation without compensation and place under direct workers' control all factories that close, suspend or lay off workers!

The government of Milei, a US lackey, together with the slave-owning employers of the steel industry and the complicity of the Peronist-Kirchnerist union bureaucracy, are destroying the workers who are the ones who produce the wealth of the country. This very hard blow to the heart of the industrial proletariat, if imposed, will be extended to the entire workers movement, multiplying and consolidating the attack that is already here. Before it is too late... We must put our foot on the exploiters' chest!
