Huanuni Bolivia - December 18 2023
Elections results in the Huanuni Mixed Union of Mine Workers (SMTMH):
The FRS front of the blue ballot has won, which will give continuity to the political pact with the anti-worker and pro-imperialist MAS government!
Today, December 20, 2023, union elections were held for the leadership of the Huanuni Union for the 2024 term.
As made public by the electoral committee in the Huanuni National Radio Auditorium the results of the election among the 2,500 mine workers were:
FRS Front 1367 votes (62.36%)
FOR Front 774 votes (35,31%)
Blank votes 51 (2,33%)
The total number of invalid votes was not publicly announced.
So, the results gave victory to the FRS front of Freddy Villca, Luis Arias and Gloria Oblitas.
Enough of submitting ourselves to our executioner as is the MAS government!
This new leadership: It does not represent us! For a body of delegates with a revocable and rotating mandate when the general assembly decides! We must recover the class independence of our organizations!
Let us recover the COB and FSTMB!
That is why we need a Congress of rank and file delegates, every 100 to re-found the COB without union bureaucrats or ministers and pimps of the bourgeoisie so to be able to fight and confront the attack of the government and unite the ranks of all the miners of the country: both the super exploited by the cooperativist bosses on behalf of the transnationals and the miners of Huanuni and Colquiri, to organize and prepare a great struggle.
