Demonstration in front of the court…

Drop all charges and stop political persecution against the comrades from Cochabamba who showed solidarity with Palestine

On Wednesday, February 26, various feminist organizations and pro-Palestinian activists met with leftist organizations in a rally in front of the courthouse in the city of Cochabamba, accompanying the comrades and their lawyers to demand the stop and dismissing of the judicial process.

At the rally, attendees denounced that it is clearly a political persecution by the Governor (Manfred Reyes Villa) Office that seeks to condemn and imprison them for the sole fact of pasting posters in March 2024 on a  monument to the women in the city of Cochabamba during a protest against the genocide in Gaza at a time when Zionism, with USA permission and arms, was bombing and burning Palestinian refugee camps, killing many women and children. That is why the comrades, making good of the legitimate right to protest hung Palestinian flags and posters. For this fact alone they are prosecuted and accused before the bourgeois justice of damaging property.

From Democracia Obrera Bolivia we joined the rally in Cochabamba and in La Paz, participating in the protest in front of the Ministry of Justice, and we declared our solidarity and read a statement against this attack on our comrades that we share below:

STOP AND DISMISS THE JUDICIAL PROCESS NOW!

No to the criminalization of the Coronilla's artistic activity!
No harm was done!
Enough of the persecution of those who fight against the genocide of the Palestinian people!
Down with the fabricated judicial process!

The attack on our comrades is not an isolated case. We have already seen how a comrade activist was arrested on November 25, 2024. People are being prosecuted and persecuted for going out to fight against the government, the State and against the high cost of living. This is an attack on free expression, the right to protest, the right to strike and, We will not let it pass! Because intends to punish all fighters, as well as the organizations and activists that fight against the genocide of the Palestinian people by Zionism. Likewise, it intends also to punish the oppressed who want to go out and fight, in order to set a precedent. We cannot allow this!

To stop the political persecution by the state, the government and the mayor's office, to defend the right to free expression and protest and in order to free all political prisoners for fighting, for justice for our martyrs of Senkata and Sacaba in 2019 (which we haven’t got yet), we must go out and fight with the methods of struggle of the working class... taking to the streets with strikes and shutdowns!
This is why it is urgent to call for a national and international struggle and Campaign to put an END TO THE JUDICIAL PROCEEDINGS! and for this struggle to be led by workers', popular, student, feminist and human rights organizations so that they take it into their own hands.
ENOUGH PERSECUTING THOSE WHO FIGHT!

Part of the struggle to end the prosecution of our comrades and all those persecuted and imprisoned for fighting against the genocide in Palestine perpetrated by Zionism and commanded by USa, it is also the same struggle for freedom for the more than a thousand Palestinian political prisoners in the prisons of the Zionist occupier. They also deserve their freedom!

On March 5, organizations fighting for the Palestinian cause in USA and Europe are calling for a global action to paralyze the war machine that feeds Zionism. This action must be a decisive step forward to achieve an international general strike, which has to be be taken by all workers' organizations in solidarity with the heroic Palestinian resistance.
