After the reactionary bosses' strike of the Pinochetista truckers' union...
Piñera’s murderous government deploys the genocidal army in the streets and militarizes the north of the country against migrant workers and the entire working class
We are all migrant workers!
Native or foreigner, one and the same working class!
Last Friday early in the morning the union of truck drivers began a bosses' strike, under the excuse of the truck driver’s death, Bayron Castillo. They carried out road blockades mainly in the north of the country. This same Union of the slave bosses in 1972 led the bosses' strike at the service of imperialism, the CIA and ITT against the working class and the revolutionary masses. Today with a fascist and xenophobic discourse against "delinquency" and the "migratory overflow", they carried out this reactionary action aimed openly and directly against the migrant workers coming from different countries of the continent due to the attacks and the poor living conditions imposed on them by their governments, just as Piñera has done.
Months ago, there had already been an attack on Venezuelan workers in Iquique, where fascists burned their tents, mattresses, blankets and all their belongings. Meanwhile, in the midst of the migratory crisis unleashed in the northern area, the Official Gazette published on Saturday, February 12, the nefarious regulations of the new Migration and Law Ruling Foreigners Status, No. 21,325, to regulate the entry, stay, residence and exit of foreigners from the country.
The response of Piñera’s government was a quick trip of its representative, Interior Minister Delgado, to agree with the National Confederation of Truck Owners of Chile and the Federation of the Northern Zone the implementation of the state of emergency and the military deployment in the border sectors of four northern provinces: Arica, Parinacota, Tamarugal and Loa. This was in line not only with the requests of the truckers' union, but also of the local governments of the Tarapacá region, in the hands of the right wing and the coup plotters of the DC (Christian Democracy, NT). Furthermore, this measure was supported by parliamentarians of "Apruebo Dignidad", i.e., Boric's future government, such as Vlado Mirosevic and Catalina Perez, who support that the Pinochetista militiamen now patrolling the streets of the north of the country, as they do in the Araucania!
Over 250 million migrants travel across the planet looking for a place to live and eat because of the decadence and barbarism of this rotten imperialist capitalist system. Thousands of them have arrived in Chile. They do so mainly from Venezuela, where millions of starving exploited were forced to flee from that nation strangled by imperialism and handed over by the government of Maduro, the Bolivarian bourgeoisie and the "Bolivarian" officer caste.
The migrants are not only repressed by the servant governments of imperialism on both sides of the border (as the government of the "democrat" Biden in the U.S. does in the first place), but they are forced to live the worst hardships. Many of them even venture across the desert on foot to get to Chile. If they manage to get there, they must survive in tents on the streets with their children, as happens not only in the north, but also, for example, in the middle of the Alameda in Santiago. The economic and health crisis has made the situation of the migrants more unbearable; and those who can get a job are brutally super-exploited by the slave bosses with exhausting working hours for less than the minimum wage. This is the true face of this imperialist capitalist system!
On top of this, in Chile today they are the target of the fascist and reactionary sectors, when the real murderers, criminals and thieves are the government of Piñera, the corrupt politicians and this civil-military regime that have their hands stained with the blood of dozens of martyred workers and youth; they are the genocidal generals and the imperialist transnationals that steal the copper and all the wealth of the nation. Cynics!
Today the Pinochetista truck drivers’ union and these reactionary sectors can continue their fascist attacks against migrant workers, because they took the masses out of the revolutionary combat of October 2019. More and more the bureaucracy of the Social Unity Board tied the hands of the workers' movement so that it would not lead the revolutionary combat of the masses, more and more they subjected us to the Constituent farce with their chatting of "democracy" and "freedom", more and more they put the workers and exploited at the feet of Boric's class collaboration government, the "red pacos” of the CP and its new Concertación, the more and more they turned the Chile that had awaken, back to sleep and the more and more they have allowed the bourgeoisie, imperialism and big capital to have their hands free to carry out fascist actions in the streets, whipping up the desperate middle classes against the workers and poor peasants. Even some sectors of the workers’ movement that supported these actions against the migrant workers, as shamefully happened with the leadership of the Dock Workers Union of Antofagasta.
It was these leaderships of the Social Unity Board, Boric and other members of "Apruebo Dignidad", the biggest traitors of the revolutionary struggle of the masses, who saved Piñera, who today ends his last days of government with the militarization of the north and south of the country.
These same leaderships of the CP, the Frente Amplio and the reformist left that called to vote for Boric and his agreement with the DC and the former Concertación to defeat the "fascist" Kast at the ballot boxes. Now, as really fascist sectors take to the streets, all they do is tying up the forces of the working class so that they do not respond with their methods of struggle and leave the migrant workers at the mercy of these fascist attacks. Enough!
This attack is not only against our Venezuelan or Haitian class siblings; it is an attack on the entire workers movement and a warning of what these reactionary sectors financed by the bourgeoisie and imperialism -let alone the genocidal militaries- are preparing. This fascist action is to teach a lesson to the whole working class, the poor peasants, the rebellious youth and all the exploited masses so that we do not even "dare" to rebel as in October 2019.
Against them, we must flood the streets in support of our migrant siblings and put up the strength of the whole working class and the exploited, imposing the breakaway of all the workers' and students' organizations with Boric and his new Concertación, the new "left" guardian of the hated Pinochetista civic-military regime, the FTA and the imperialist transnationals.
Before it is too late, we must set up grassroots assemblies in every dock, mine, work and study place, and together with the poor peasants of Mapuche ethnic origin, conquer a great workers, students and poor peasants' congress to retake the revolutionary road of October 2019 and the Revolutionary General Strike against the deceptions, diversions and traps and to march on the fascists to wipe them out. Fascism is not to be debated, it is to be destroyed!!
For self-defense committees and the workers' and peasants' militia, to crush the fascists immediately and defeat the murderous “pacos” and the Pinochetista army who are deployed in the streets of Chile again today!
Down with the state of emergency! Dissolution of the genocidal officer caste, servant of the US imperialism! Dissolution of the "pacos" (police, TN) and all the repressive forces of the state! Down with the "state of emergency" and the curfew!
For rank-and-file soldiers’ committees who disobey their genocidal officers, switching sides with their weapons alongside the people in struggle!
Freedom to all political prisoners!
Chilean or foreign, the same working class! All workers' organizations must affiliate migrant workers so that they have the same trade union and rights political and papers, to prevent them from being attacked and deported by the government!
All the hands of the unemployed throughout the country to produce, for the reduction of working hours so that there is one more shift in all factories, mines, docks and jobs! Enough of first and second class workers! Equal work, equal pay! Permanent jobs for all!
For a minimum wage according to the family basket to be indexed monthly according to the cost of living!
May the bosses, the parasitic bourgeoisie and the imperialist transnationals that plunder the nation leave the country! For the renationalization without compensation and under workers' control of copper and all the natural resources! There is the money for all our rightful demands, for free and quality education, better salaries, pensions, decent health care, etc. There is the money so that none of the immigrant workers have to live in poor conditions and so that they do not have to continue doing the worst jobs.
The working class is one and without borders! Enough expulsions!
We must flood the streets! The working class of Latin America, together with the indomitable workers of the U.S., are the ones who have the strength to paralyze the continent and make their weight felt against the atrocities and genocides committed against our class brothers in Haiti, Venezuela or Colombia! From Alaska to Tierra del Fuego, one class, one struggle!
For the workers and exploited of the world to live, imperialism must die!
