Physical aggressions and death threats from Stalinism to the fighters and revolutionaries who fought independently in the march 50 years after the military coup

On September 10, a march in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the military coup of Pinochet, the Christian Democracy and Yankee imperialism took place in the streets of Santiago. This march was organized by the government of Boric and the PC, with him at the head, together with the PS sellouts and the strike-breaking bureaucracy of the CUT. But this mobilization was preceded by the agreement that Boric had signed together with the former presidents of the Concertacion governments such as Michelle Bachelet, Ricardo Lagos and Eduardo Frei governments, plus the government of the murderer Piñera. Their agreement for "democracy" and "respect for human rights" is an infamous deal that brought together all the administrators of this regime imposed with iron and fire 50 years ago. The fact is all the post-reconciliation governments of this democracy for the rich have saved the genocidal military and the murderous police. And all of them have also used these same murderous forces to repress the people; both Piñera and Boric have been the real commanders in chief of the Pinochetista armed forces against the poor people as in 2019 or now militarizing the Araucania region against the poor Mapuche peasantry.

Not to mention that this government came to power in an electoral pact with the coup plotters of the Christian Democracy and even in his first year in office Boric and the CP erected a statue to the coup leader Patricio Aylwin (DC), who was the first president in the transition to this democracy for the rich.

Thus the government of Boric and the PC was preparing to "commemorate" these 50 years of the military coup. This government also imposed its own route map for the movilization that had been called, fencing the whole city, commanding the murderous police to repress anyone who left the march and even granted an access pass to the organizations that were part of it as the union bureaucracy of CUT, the human rights organizations and the government parties.

In this scenario, hundreds of combative youth and fighters tried to march independently of the government without respecting the police cordon imposed by Boric. From the POI-CI we were part of the vanguard of this fight, we held in this movement that the working class should break with the parties of this government and fight for its class independence. Furthermore, we denounced the CP as the “pacos de rojo” ( "red cops"), a true internal police within the labor movement and that together with Boric they are with the bourgeoisie, that the working class could not march with them and commemorate a new anniversary of the military coup that massacred the revolution of the Industrial Cordons, and that was why we raise the latter's example of fight against Stalinism and Castroism, which were party of the "peaceful path to socialism" that ended up being the bloody path to the Pinochet coup. For this reason, we were attacked by militants who came out of the march, who attacked us with fists and knives, and even a fighter wearing a T-shirt with the Palestinian flag was kicked to the ground and even stabbed. The argument of these Stanilists, who were part of this government mobilization, was "not to let them divide the march", the real thing is revolutionary politics Ake them feel sick and then, their hatred against the revolutionaries surfaces. This aggression was not an isolated act; there are images and videos where other fighters are also attacked with sticks holding the CP flags.

But this is not a mere coincidence, today the CP is governing, administering the bourgeois state, the 80's constitution and the assets of imperialism. The Cuban Communist Party, today turned into a bourgeoisie that also manages business from the state and beats the exploited masses in the same way, does the same in Cuba. This could be seen with complete clarity when the hungry workers took to the streets to demand bread as happened on July 11, 2021 and the response to this mobilization was beatings, persecution and prison. This is how Stalinism acts against the workers, and even if they need to physically eliminate the revolutionaries who denounce them, they will do it. And we Trotskyists know how this current that supports the bourgeoisie and this rotten capitalist system acts.

That is why we hold the PC responsible if any POI-CI or FLTI militant in Chile suffers a physical attack. We also hold them responsible if any fighter who rises up against the Stalinism that is in the government is attacked, persecuted or intimidated.

That is why we call on all human rights organizations, rebel youth, workers and politicians to speak out against this vile attack of which we revolutionaries were object. And to fight together for the defense of all of us who fight against this pro-imperialist government.

While the Boric government and the PC were which commanded the murderous gangs to repress the combative youth who wanted to become part of this mobilization but without being under the discipline of the government and its parties. Furthermore, this pro-imperialist government declared that it will file complaints and open investigations to capture the youth who, with just class hatred, fought against the pacos and made way by removing the fences that the government had put up so that an orderly and peaceful march could take place.

Without justice for our martyrs of yesterday and today, there will be no peace! Without justice for the more than 500 mutilated by the murderous pacos in 2019, there will be no peace! Without achieving freedom for all those imprisoned for fighting, there will be no peace! Without achieving dignity for the poor people and the workers, there will be no peace!

To achieve this we have to set up:

A great congress of human rights, student, workers organizations, both political and union ones to confront this pro-imperialist government!

To establish the political independence of the working class, to put an end to the class collaboration that the union bureaucracy imposes on the workers!

Raising this fighting organization is a primary task for every worker, student or fighter who wants to fight against this pro-imperialist government, to defend ourselves from future attacks by the “pacos de rojo” within the labor movement and its organizations. Setting up base assemblies, factory committees, in each place of work and study is the best way to pay tribute to the workers of the Industrial Cordons and is to replicate their experience, which is a thousand times superior to the atomized unions or the union centers in the hands of strikebreakers like the CUT. We insist that anyone who denounces the CP, denouncing that they are administrators of the bourgeois state will receive attacks of all kinds, which is why it is necessary to build democracy for those who fight and not for the strikebreakers and servants of the bourgeoisie.
The clashes against the government are already anticipated by the combative students who fight for a decent education, which can be the spark that ignites the revolutionary struggle against the Pinochetista regime again.
