The regime of the 9 U.S. military bases, under the mantle of the Reconciliation Pact of the “Peace of the Graves”, continues the massacre, assassinating the best fighters and vanguard youth from the First Lines in Colombia.
On January 12 this year, the comrade and socialist militant of the Comuneros Group, Alexander Vanegas (Barbas), who lived and worked as an agricultural worker in the Nariño region, was assassinated by fascist paramilitary gangs. There, he was organizing a union that would bring together the “raspachine” workers, the most exploited sector of the rural proletariat.
He was one of the leaders of the revolutionary days of the National Strike of 28 A in 2021 in the Front Lines of Popayán, Pasto and Cali where, in all the mobilizations and fighting fronts, he carried the flags of the Syrian and Palestinian revolution as an internationalist militant, walking the first steps in the program of Trotskyism under the banners of the Fourth International.
