Argentina - November 26, 2023
For the acquittal of the oil workers
of Las Heras, Cesar Arakaki and Daniel Ruiz!
Unconditional freedom for Cristian Díaz and Facundo Jones Huala!
For freedom of all political prisoners
around the world!
This December 12 marks 10 years since the brutal life sentence and imprisonment of the oil workers of Las Heras in Santa Cruz, Argentina. They fought in 2006 in a huge strike against the wage tax and against job outsourcing. With these demands they confronted REPSOL and all the oil companies and the imperialist servant government of the Kirchner.
Their demands unified the whole working class. That is why in 2006 Néstor Kirchner occupied the town militarily, persecuting and imprisoning dozens of workers with the Gendarmerie and the intelligence services.
Cristina Fernández de Kirchner gave the order to the judges to sentence the oil workers to life imprisonment in 2013, imposing a huge punishment on all the workers.
The heroic oil workers of Las Heras, together with their families, sought the support of all the workers' and human rights organizations in Argentina and the world.
Thus, on December 12, 2013, the first to respond were the Palestinian political prisoners, like Sammer al Isawi and his comrades detained in Jerusalem occupied by Zionism, who went on hunger strike in support of the oil workers. So did Georges Abdallah, a fighter for the Palestinian cause, together with the Basque independence prisoners detained in France.
International solidarity from all five continents took place that day, which meant that, although the comrades were convicted, they remained free with their families, fighting for their acquittal. This huge unity has never been broken and is deepening day by day in the face of every persecution, imprisonment and assassination of the workers and exploited of the world.
Today, in an exemplary way, a courageous voice comes out from the prisons of Greece. Together with the actions that are taking place all over the world against the Zionist genocide on the Palestinian people, the Greek militant youth launched an international call to all political prisoners to go on hunger strike in solidarity with Palestine. Long live the international solidarity! Free the Greek fighters now!
Today more than ever, we need to fight together across the borders. That is the way to strengthen the struggle for the acquittal of the oil workers of Las Heras, to free Cristian Díaz, fighter of the Palestinian cause in Argentina, to free Facundo Jones Huala, fighter of the Mapuche people who today is on thirst strike, to conquer the acquittal of Arakaki and Ruiz who together with thousands of workers confronted Macri's pension reform in 2017 and to stop the persecution of the fighters of the Jujeñazo and the Chubutazo.
Workers' and popular courts to try and punish the murderers of Kostequi and Santillán, of Santiago Maldonado and Rafa Nahuel, of Facundo Molares and all our martyrs!
After 10 years of the brutal conviction, this December 12, International Day of Struggle of the Persecuted Worker, let us deepen the world struggle together with the Palestinian resistance! This is the cause of the whole working class!
Never again can a worker be left alone fighting against the oppressive governments, their justice and repressive forces!
One single working class, one single enemy, one single struggle in the five continents! |
