TOWARDS DECEMBER 12: INTERNATIONAL DAY OF STRUGGLE FOR THE PERSECUTED WORKER

OCTOBER 18 COORDINATOR FOR THE FREEDOM OF POLITICAL PRISONERS

DECLARATION IN SOLIDARITY FOR DECEMBER 12, INTERNATIONAL DAY OF STRUGGLE FOR THE PERSECUTED WORKERS

In the run-up to the combative International Day of Struggle for Persecuted Workers on December 12, 2022, as "October 18" Coordinator for the Freedom of Political Prisoners, we declare the following:

1) WE ECHO the internationalist struggles for the total liberation of those who fight and have been imprisoned by different orders and regimes of capital, which are authoritarian and tyrannical.  This always within the framework of the permanent claim and dispute of the peoples for better and more dignified living conditions.

2) WE EMBRACE fraternally and in solidarity the workers and popular fighters in struggle in different parts of the world: in Iran, all the families and comrades imprisoned and executed for rising up against their murderous theocracy; in Syria the revolutionary workers imprisoned and tortured in the Saydnaya prison; in Argentina, the oil workers from Las Heras, Santa Cruz, and the repressed and imprisoned pu lamngen (Mapuche people) with their children in Villa Mascardi, Río Negro, and also the comrades and close friends of comrade Santiago Maldonado;  in Mexico, the families and fellow students of the 43 teaching school students from Ayotzinapa; in Bolivia the families and fighters of Senkata; in Colombia, the families and comrades of popular youth arrested and murdered in the various insurrections of 2019, 2020 and 2021; in Russia and Belarus, the many young people and rebels that are persecuted, imprisoned and murdered by Putin and Lukashenko; in Greece, the anarchist comrade Giannis Michailidis and all the rebel and revolutionary youth with him; in China, all the worker comrades rising against the brutal precariousness, slavery and repression they face at the hands of the government of Xi Jinping and the oppressive Chinese state; in South Africa the families of the popular fighters murdered in Marikana; and finally, in Cuba, the workers and young workers arrested and convicted for the rebellion on 11J. With all of them, our conscious and unrestricted solidarity!

3) WE REITERATE that, as October 18 Coordinator, we do not agree under any terms with any form or expression of a prison. That is why we are convinced that here, in the territory usurped by the Chilean state, and throughout the world, all popular struggle must also demolish the prison walls of all the miserable bastions of power and capital.

4) WE DEMAND the total, unconditional and immediate release of all political prisoners in Iran and the entire world, as well as DEMAND the insurgent and popular memory, agitation and revenge for all our brothers and comrades persecuted and killed for rebelling and fighting.

WHO FORGETS ABOUT THE PRISONERS FOR FIGHTING, FORGETS ABOUT THE FIGHT!
