Despite Putin's counterrevolutionary intervention defending the imperialist oil companies, the Kazakh masses once again throw themselves into combat
Workers' struggles spread in Kazakhstan
REVOLUTIONARY GENERAL STRIKE!
THE PEOPLE WANT THE FALL OF THE REGIME!
On February 15, the Ozenmunaigas oil workers in Zhanaozen, the birthplace of the revolutionary uprising in January this year, went on strike again. They demand an increase in wages and the immediate freedom and cessation of torture of the workers detained in the January days, as well as the end of all persecution.
Orazbai Tursynbai, leader of the 2011 oil workers' strike, told the assembly of the struggling workers: “We are saddened by the fact that the peaceful demonstration that started in Zhanaozen in various regions of Kazakhstan turned into a tragedy. Our condolences to the families of the victims. The detainees are not terrorists, we demand that the torture be stopped and that they be released! We demand that the authorities carry out political reforms. However, we repudiate everything old and stagnant. New changes are needed."
That same day, electricians and welders from Ozenmunaigas joined the strike, denouncing that although work in the oil field also depends on their work, they charge lower wages. Unemployed workers also joined the protest actions and presented their demands for decent work.
Utility workers, truck drivers, and oil workers from other fields such as Kalamkas, Buzachi, Zhetybay and workers from Aktau oil field service companies who face job insecurity and outsourcing quickly joined. Burgylau LLP drillers, on strike since 9/2, demand the nationalization of their company, which fell into the hands of the oligarch and son-in-law of deposed President Nazarbayev, Timur Kulibayev.
Commerce workers, railway workers of KTZh (Kazakhstan Railways), municipal workers of Tazalyk LLP and other companies, demand a salary increase of 50 to 100%, and assure that they will go on strike if their demands are not granted.
For the workers of Kazakhstan to have bread, work and decent wages: We must expropriate, without compensation and under workers' control, the companies, industries and natural resources that were stolen by the former bureaucrats who became the new possessing class and sold out the former USSR to imperialism! British Petroleum, Exxon, Chevron, ArcelorMittal and all the imperialist companies and banks that steal the nation's wealth must be expropriated without compensation and under workers' control!
Immediate and unconditional freedom for all the workers detained in the mobilizations! Enough of torture! For workers' and popular courts to judge and punish the murderers of the people!
Out with Tokaev, Nazarbayev's successor! The people want the fall of the regime!
Out with Russian troops from Kazakhstan! Dissolution of the murderous officer caste of the army, lackey of imperialism!
For a Soviet Kazakhstan of red workers and soldiers, without dictators or capitalists!
For a Federation of Soviet Republics of Eurasia!
In the former Soviet republics, NATO and Putin are not alone. THE WORKING CLASS IS ALSO STRUGGLING AND FIGHTING. Imperialism and oligarchs like Putin, Tokayev, etc., are terrified at the uprising of the masses in the former workers' states. The workers of Kazakhstan lead the way to stop the upending massacre that threatens the Ukrainian working class. |
