Declaration of Workers' Democracy of the Spanish State and Proletarian Advance of Italy
Workers’, internationalist and combative May Day
Let’s follow the example of the Italian working class that calls a General Strike on May 20 against the war, the economy of the war and the governments of the war.
General strike throughout Europe!
The working class must rise!
• Against the partition war in Ukraine
• Against imperialism, plunderer of the oppressed peoples of the world
• Against the attack on workers' pockets
• For equal work, equal pay
• Papers for everyone
Under the boot of Putin or NATO,
Ukraine will remain a tutored colony
For a working class, Soviet and independent Ukraine!
From Democracia Obrera of the Spanish State and Avanzata Proletaria of Italy, we endorse the statement signed by dozens of Italian workers' organizations, which met in Milan, as a call for the General Strike on May 20. This strike called against the war, the economy of the war and the government of the war, correctly contemplates, among other things, that the first to suffer the consequences of the war in Ukraine are the workers and the Ukrainian people who are being, on the one hand, massacred and, on the other, condemned to be refugees without resources in Europe. They are the first victims, but this war has repercussions all over the world, as the statement of the strike call on May 20 says, Europe is directly affected with inflation that exceeds 7.6%, with high costs in electricity bills and in the living and working conditions of the European and world working class. Food prices have skyrocketed and imperialism wants the workers to pay for the crisis.
That is why we call on all workers' organizations to assume the motion of the Italian workers and for the strike called for May 20 to be a first step towards a General Strike throughout Europe:
- We call on the European working class to stop this war whose only purpose is to divide Ukraine. Putin's butcher generals and NATO assassins must be stopped
- The Russian workers who are under arms must fraternize at the front with the Ukrainians and turn the gun and not kill their class brothers.
Our fight is for the working class and the peasant and popular masses to take the lead in the war against imperialism, developing the generalized armament of the exploited, expropriating imperialism and all its assets in the oppressed nation and calling the proletariat of the aggressor country to rise up against its own imperialist and oppressive bourgeoisie.
Those who can stop this catastrophe are the working class of the European countries uniting with their migrant brothers, with the Ukrainian, Syrian, Libyan, Moroccan refugees, etc. and with the working class of the colonies and semi-colonies.
Let the borders open! Work, decent life, papers and rights for all!
The trade unions and labor organizations have to affiliate migrants and refugees as honorary members, so that they can fight together with their class brothers in Europe and throughout the world!
Down with the imperialist European Union! Down with the xenophobic, “democratic” and “progressive” governments that all together carry out the worst attacks on the European working class, that pile up refugees and immigrants into concentration camps and ghettos!
For a Federation of Iberian Socialist Republics!
Down with imperialist Maastricht! For the Socialist United States of Europe!
The history of the class struggle and the current struggles show that the exploited, and in particular the working class, have never shied away from any combat against the attack of the capitalists, their regimes and their states. We have seen this in the Middle East such as in Syria, Lebanon or Palestine, also in the struggle of the metal workers in Cádiz in the Spanish State or the General Strike that the Italian workers are preparing, as well as the daily struggle of the migrants and refugees in Europe etc. The working class never missed the appointment. It has been the treacherous leaderships that have given up and disorganized their struggle, these traitors live off the coins that fall from the super-profits of imperialism, extracted from the super-exploitation of the workers and the plundering of the oppressed peoples.
The forces to recreate militant internationalism are today in the numerous combats that the world working class is leading.
The revolutionary Trotskyists alert the world working class that, if we do not defeat this rotten bankrupt capitalist system, it will manage to survive with wars, fascism and barbarism. The mortal agony of capitalism in its supreme imperialist phase, with its trade wars between imperialist bandits, is today expressed in the massacre of the working class, the peasant and popular masses of Ukraine, in January in the bloody repression of the transnational workers of hydrocarbons in Kazakhstan and for eight years with the repression, by Moscow and Kyiv, of the uprising of the working class and the miners of Donbass, tomorrow it will be the source of new large-scale military conflagrations, with which the imperialist powers will fight over bite the zones of influence and the looting of the semi-colonial world. Setting up revolutionary Leninist combat and insurrectionalist parties is the task of the moment. Refounding the World Party of the Socialist Revolution, the Fourth International, under its founding program of 1938, is an urgent task. World socialist revolution or global barbarism!
