The Syrian masses slaughtered by al-Assad and Putin on behalf of imperialism, with the Ukrainian working class, are today’s martyrs of Chicago

Stand with the Palestinian masses that resist the offensive of the Zionist occupier!

On this May Day, from the Syrian resistance, we reaffirm our struggle for the fall of Bashar al-Assad, who, together with Putin, the Iranian Ayatollahs and Hezbollah did the dirty work on behalf of all the imperialist powers to massacre our revolution. In 2011 we took to the streets by hundreds of thousands in all the cities of Syria to the cry of “bread, dignity and freedom”. We clashed against the repression forces that shot to kill. We came to liberate the majority of the Syrian cities. The Syrian revolution was a link of a single chain of revolutions in the entire Maghreb and Middle East, like Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Bahrain, Yemen and later Iraq, Lebanon, Algeria… The Zionist state of occupation was put into question.
If our revolution did not succeed it was not due to lack of bravery in the struggle of our people. Even thousands of us belong to a young generation forged in these 11 years of revolution and counterrevolution, at the heat of the bombs and bullets of the Basharist regime. We knew to raise the banners of struggle of the youth that was fighting in Latin America, Greece, Madagascar, the former French colonies and to merge with the black working class when they stood up in USA.
This puts in evidence that if the revolution did not succeed was because the leaderships of the world working class slandered us, isolated us from the world working class and supported directly those who killed us, such as al-Assad and Putin, or the ones that sold us from within as the Sunnite bourgeoisie of the Free Syrian Army. The Stalinists, which slandered us branding us as “terrorists” to free the hands of Putin and his bloody bombings, are the ones that today slander the Ukrainian exploited as “neo-fascists” to isolate them and let Putin and imperialism to impose a bloodthirsty  genocide  against Ukraine.
For this reason, on this May Day, we denounce these leaderships that speak on behalf of the working class only to subject it to the bourgeoisie, to its executioners. They are the ones that left the hands free to al-Assad, Putin and the Iranian Ayatollahs to carry out one of the worst genocides of the 21st century!
This way, in Syria entire cities were demolished and reduced to rubbles. Hundreds of thousands of dead and millions displaced living in tents in the middle of the borders, as outcasts in their own land or as slave labour force in other countries. An incalculable amount of our brothers and sisters were murdered under torture in the human slaughterhouses of al-Assad prisons and others are still in those jails while thousands are disappeared. They are the martyrs of Chicago today! Honor to the martyrs of the Syrian revolution! Honor to the fighters of the Leon Sedov Brigade that fell fighting under the banners of Trotskyism in Syria!

The martyrs of Chicago are also the Ukrainian workers, killed by the war of occupation of Putin, who is reducing Mariupol and other cities of Ukraine to rubbles, while the US let this happen, as it couldn’t be in any other way. NATO is no liberation force, they are only to occupy, oppress and safeguard the business deals of the transnational companies that plunder us and over-exploit us.
We saw this in Syria, which today, after the massacre and that the Sunnite bourgeoisie, under the command of Turkey handed the rebel cities one by one, is partitioned and occupied, with its oil plundered by the US. This is what al-Assad and Putin with Erdogan, under US command, guaranteed from the conferences of Geneva-Astana-Sochi, supported by the treacherous leaderships of the world working class.
This May Day, from the Syrian resistance, we stand with the Ukrainian working class, confronting the same enemies and traitors. This was also our war cry in the demonstrations we made on the 11th anniversary of the Syrian revolution last March 15 and in so many others we made in northern Syria in support of our Ukrainian brothers. Putin, the one that massacred the Syrian revolution with al-Assad, is the one carrying out the invasion to the Ukrainian nation. USA watches from afar, waiting the moment to enter and take the lion share, as he did in Syria. We cannot let Ukraine to be massacred and partitioned as they did in Syria! In Syria, now is the time to open the fronts and confront al-Assad and Putin, side by side with the resistance of the Ukrainian workers against the occupation war!

On this May Day we stand with our Palestinian brothers and sisters, who heroically resist the offensive of the Zionist occupier. These same leaderships where the ones responsible to separate our revolution from the Palestinian intifada and they guaranteed that, as the Syrian revolution and in Middle East was betrayed and drowned in a sea of blood, Zionism was reinforced. Al-Assad, Hezbollah, the Jordanian king and Al Sisi’s dictatorship in Egypt are good guardians of its borders. So Zionism has been advancing in expelling our Palestinian brothers and sisters from their lands with their settlers, police, army and other fascist forces. They do raids, detentions and attacks with bombings as the last ones on Gaza.
The Palestinian people stands in resistance, focusing in Jerusalem at the gates of Al Aqsa Mosque, marching in Jenin, Hebron, Gaza… even resisting as they can against the Zionist soldiers when they raid their homes.
While this happens, the leaderships of the Palestinian bourgeoisie, such as Hamas and Al Fatah, are upholding their pacts with Zionism. They prevent the Palestinian masses to organize to confront Zionism and not only they keep the weapons but they use them to repress demonstrations against occupation, as Al Fatah does in the West Bank.
The Syrian and Palestinian masses have our fate linked. Those who imposed our Palestinian siblings to be neutral on our revolution are responsible for al-Assad to massacre without consequences and Zionism to be strengthened. In Syria and Palestine ONE SINGLE INTIFADA!

A key role in supporting al-Assad was played by Castroism. Usurping the authority before the world working class as being at the head of Cuba, they supported al-Assad openly, while they completed the capitalist restoration in the island and became a new bourgeoisie that starve the workers. When the workers took to the streets for bread on July 11 last year (as we did in Middle East 11 years ago), the regime brutally repressed them, as the dictatorships did with us here. There are hundreds of prisoners with 30 years sentence, including minors. Therefore, on this May Day, from Syria, we demand the freedom of the political prisoners of the 11J hunger uprising in Cuba, as well as those from the Syrian revolution, the Palestinian fighters behind bars and the freedom of all those who are in the jails of the oppressors for fighting for their rights.

On this May Day, we reaffirm the need that the working class internationally unite their ranks to fight against imperialism and its agents. The workers in USA, Maastricht Europe, Japan, have in their hands the key to set us free and end this suffering. They have in their hands the power to strike the heart of the imperialist beast from within. They hold the key for the liberation of the subjugated peoples! We need to get rid of all the treacherous leaderships in the unions and workers organizations that have divided us for years!

On this May Day, we claim high that our struggle is for the victory of the revolution and for that we need a revolutionary leadership, which cannot be other than the Fourth International re-founded with its 1938 program, the one that passed the test of history, reaffirmed one and a thousand times at the light of the current events. This can only be possible if we recover its clean banners from the hands of the traitors that, by betraying its program and legacy, took them to the mud of treason on the Syrian revolution and they put them to the feet of Stalinism, with which they are in a single party in La Havana. They are the ones that subject the working class to its executioners and the ones that left al-Assad’s hands free to massacre in Syria! They are the ones dividing the working class in the imperialist centres from the subjugated peoples of the world!
We call the Syrian, Palestinian, Ukrainian workers and all the workers of the world to break with these leaderships that gave us many promises of victory but only left us defeats, and to group our ranks for the current and future combats.
