Zimbabwe
For a worker, socialist and internationalist May Day
Long live the strike of Renco miners in Zimbabwe!
Expropriate all the transnational companies that plunder our nations! Out with imperialism and its lackey governments from Zimbabwe and the entire Africa!
The leaderships of the workers organizations must break with the black bourgeoisies, servants of imperialism!
In Africa, we are one single class and we have the same enemy!
No more persecution and deportations to the immigrants by the ANC-CP in South Africa!
Stand with the heroic Syrian masses and the Ukrainian working class, both massacred. They are the Martyrs of Chicago today
On this May 1st, the International Workers' League (WIL-ZIM) salutes the miners of Renco who are fighting. The 1,800 miners of the largest gold mine in the province of Masvingo have gone on a sit-down strike to demand that they be paid the number 13 (supplementary) salary, which they won with their struggle last December and still have not received. The British transnational Rio Tinto Group, one of the largest mining companies in the world that plunders Zimbabwe and other oppressed nations, takes 80 kilos of gold a month from the Renco mine alone and yet it has not paid its miners their supplementary salary.
The demand for a living wage and work for all is the claim of all workers in Zimbabwe. The vast majority are in the informal sector unable to make ends meet. There are millions who must go to look for work in South Africa, where they are persecuted, beaten and even massacred by fascist gangs, arranged and encouraged behind the scenes by the ANC-CP government and the COSATU Union Stalinist bureaucracy.
The ZCTU called for an act for this May 1st with the slogan "Restore workers' dignity." From the International Workers League we call to make this slogan a reality by unifying the workers' ranks, whose vanguard today are the Renco miners. This May 1 must be a day of struggle: We call on all trade unions, workers' organizations and the ZCTU to go to the Renco mine to set up a national struggle committee there to prepare the general strike and expel imperialism! We want work for everyone and a salary equal to what is needed to live with dignity!
The time has come to unite in a single list of demands, organize and prepare a fight superior to the one we are already leading. It is about strengthening the enormous energies deployed by the exploited in these years of battles against the bourgeoisie and the state of the oppressors and showing them the way to victory.
Workers of Zimbabwe, stand up! We have to stop the abuses of the transnationals and their government of hunger-mongers. We must expropriate the expropriators! For a program of revolutionary action to unify the ranks of the workers and prepare a higher struggle against the transnationals, ZANU-PF, the imperialist pirates and the infamous regime of the capitalists! And for this it is necessary that the leadership of the unions break with the bourgeoisie.
Against the power of those above, we must stand up the power of those below!
Out with the Mnangagwa dictatorship!
This May 1st, we stand with Zimbabwean workers and other immigrants in South Africa, persecuted and deported by the fascist gangs and the ANC police, left behind by COSATU and the Stalinist union bureaucracy, left to fend for themselves in the face of repression and intimidation by the Dudula group and other parastatal gangs. No to deportations of Zimbabweans in South Africa! Open the borders! Papers and citizenship, labor and union rights for all refugees and immigrants! Decent housing for all! Work for everyone! Equal pay for equal work!
Throughout the region, militant unions like South Africa's NUMSA must call without delay for a congress of employed and unemployed workers from all over Southern Africa to unite our ranks, stop the attacks and win our demands!
In the entire Africa, the same working class against the same enemy: imperialism that plunders our nations and its lackey governments of black millionaires over a sea of slaves!
For the United Socialist States of Black Republics of central and southern Africa!
Thousands of our brothers and sisters die trying to cross the Mediterranean to imperialist Europe, where they are persecuted and deported by the same transnationals that plunder our nations. In the US, our African-American brothers continue to be persecuted and killed by Biden's murderous police.
This May 1st we call on the groups of immigrants from Europe, like those who organized the march in France in Solidarity to the Black Lives Matter movement in the US, to unite our claims on one side and the other of the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.
For this reason, this May 1st we are standing up for the freedom of all political prisoners in the world, first of all, of the starving Cuban workers, who rose up for bread on July 11 and the government of the new Castroite bourgeoisie, emerged from Stalinism, gave them sentences of up to 30 years in prison.
This May 1st we are with the Ukrainian working class that heroically resists the invasion and occupation of the butcher Putin. Let’s not allow the Ukrainian working class to be divided, the liberation of our class brothers and sisters should be part and banner of struggle of the workers of the world, particularly of the European and American working classes! With the aid of their brothers and sisters in the imperialist powers, the Russian working class should rise and fight against the government of oppression and massacre of Putin and the Russian oligarchs.
This May 1st we are standing together with the Palestinian masses who are resisting a brutal occupation offensive by Zionism. We stand alongside the Syrian resistance fighting against the fascist al-Assad, Putin, Hezbollah, Iran, who did the dirty work for imperialism of drowning the Syrian revolution in blood, while it was sold out from within by the Sunni bourgeoisie under the command of Turkey. It is all of them who, plotting from the Geneva-Astana conferences, have left today a broken, bloodied, massacred, devastated Syria, with slave labor in concentration camps, while imperialism plunders the oil.
War and barbarism are already hitting Syria, South Africa, and Europe itself in the Ukraine. The world working class must give an answer. It is time to resolutely confront the imperialism that plunders our nations and with its minion governments kills, represses and starves the workers throughout the martyred Africa and the world! No Justice, no Peace!
In order to eat and have a decent life, we must fight for the victory of the socialist revolution, the seizing of power by the working class, and expropriate the expropriators of the peoples! For this, a new revolutionary party is necessary under the banners and the program of the Fourth International against the reformists who, saying they are on the side of the workers, defend the interests of the imperialist transnationals or support the governments of the black bourgeoisie and their lackey regimes, servants of imperialism.
For the oppressed to live, imperialism must die!
