The Stalinist bureaucracy of the CGTP, which surrendered the revolutionary mass struggle, marches at the feet of the murderous government of Boluarte and the Fujimori regime

This May Day, the central mobilization that took place in Lima was led by the traitors of the CGTP bureaucracy, led by Patria Roja and the Communist Party. These Stalinist bureaucrats mobilized from the Plaza 2 de Mayo together with small delegations from different unions that are part of that trade union center. Alongside them, the forces of "Nuevo Perú", the grouping of Verónika Mendoza, the "left" of the Fujimori regime, could not fail to attend.

Of course, this mobilization was not the mobilization of the millions of workers, poor peasants and rebellious youth who have fought for more than 3 months to overthrow the government of Boluarte and the coup-supporting Congress, servants of the US. This was the mobilization of the sellouts and undertakers of this enormous revolutionary mass struggle that has shaken Peru and the whole of Latin America! That same CGTP bureaucracy has been the main supporter of Dina's coup government, playing its full role in dividing huge sections of the workers' movement from their class brothers and sisters in the regions and Lima and boycotting the road to the General Strike.

So much so, that the CGTP bureaucrats signed a joint declaration for May 1st with the leadership of another trade union center, the CUT. In this "joint statement" they demand "the resignation of Dina Boluarte and the Board of Directors of the Congress, the urgent establishment of a transitional government to call for immediate elections and a popular referendum". Traitors! They are pushing for a real "orderly exit" in favor of the bourgeoisie and imperialism, so that Dina's government does not fall at the hands of the revolutionary action of the exploited. They are squires of the Fujimori regime under the tutelage of the US military bases!

As if more examples were needed, 48 hours after May 1st, Geronimo Lopez Sevillano, general secretary of the CGTP, took part in the Commission of Labour and Social Security of the Congress... He went to negotiate with the corrupt congressmen of that coup-plotting Parliament which, by orders of the gringos, put Dina Boluarte in power! Meanwhile, those same CGTP leaders publicly announced that they would sit down at a dialogue table with Boluarte's Minister of Labour, Antonio Varela, "to discuss a labor agenda in favor of the workers"... as if anything "in favour of the workers" could come out of the hand of this murderous pro-imperialist government!

Workers have understood very well that to get something in their favor, they have to defeat Dina’s government that comes to renew the contracts with imperialism and to hand over the lithium to the transnational companies for coins. The do so on the basis of the most ferocious super-exploitation and enslavement of the working class, beginning with the working youth and migrant workers. The strike-breaking bureaucrats took well care for this fight not to succeed!

We see how shamelessly the Stalinist bureaucracy of the CGTP sits alongside the murderers of our martyrs, handing over the blood shed by more than 80 comrades. Today, when even the counterrevolutionary OAS through the IACHR cynically want to paint themselves as "democratic", saying that there was a massacre in Peru (which they themselves commanded), the CGTP leadership does not even call to fight for justice for the martyrs of Juliaca, Ayacucho, etc., but "for effective compensation for the families of the more than 60 murdered in the protests in the south"! A thousand times traitors! Spilled blood will not be negotiated!

None of this is surprising. This is the classic role of Stalinism which, just as it drove the masses off the streets in Peru, did the same in the face of the revolutionary struggles in Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and the rest of the continent. Today in Chile they are part of the Boric government and, like Boluarte, they have militarized the country borders with the excuse of our class brothers, the Venezuelan and Haitian migrant workers. In Cuba, they are the Communist Party of the "new rich" who surrendered the island to imperialism, while they support both the fascist Al Assad in his genocide against the Syrian masses and the butcher Putin who invades Ukraine, massacring its working class.

This is the real face of those traitors of the CGTP bureaucracy, supported by the renegades of Trotskyism during the revolutionary uprising of January-February, as did for example the PTS and the NMAS of Argentina. They have just done the same in Spain, where the forces of the ex-Trotskyists marched together with the Stalinists of the "Communist Party of the Peoples" in Madrid, who support the government of that imperialist NATO country and the bloodthirsty regime of the Bourbon monarchy!

All these liquidationist currents of the Fourth International are on common fronts with Stalinism, they have openly their same programme, as the UIT-CI group, Uníos de Fernández Chacón, demonstrated. At the May 1st rally in Ayacucho, its leader said: "we must build a real democracy through a broad unity"... Seeking to bury the struggle for socialist revolution and raising the struggle for "broadening democracy", they want to make the workers and exploited believe that they will be able to improve their living conditions within the framework of this bankrupt capitalist system that only brings hunger, misery, massacres and war to the masses.

The internationalist Trotskyists of the LSTI / FLTI do not mix our banners with Stalinism, the traitors and executioners of the world working class, neither on May 1st nor on any other day of the year.

From this trench we fight for the triumph of the working class struggles in France and Iran, together with the martyred masses of Syria and Ukraine and for our program to prepare a second onslaught of mass insurgency in Peru, fighting first of all to defeat the Stalinist bureaucracy of the CGTP in order to organize a big National Congress with rank and file delegates from the whole workers' movement, the poor peasants and the militant youth together with the call for the rank and file soldiers to defy the Armed Forces officers and set up their committees.

This will be the road to organize a second wave of our revolutionary offensive to overthrow the government of Boluarte and the entire Fujimori regime, expel imperialism and its military bases, break with the FTA and nationalize all mining without payment and under workers' control so that there will be bread, work, health, education and all the just demands of the people. We will be able to take this struggle to victory with a provisional workers' and peasants' revolutionary government, based on the self-determination organisms of the masses, which are the only ones that can guarantee a truly free and sovereign Constituent Assembly, imposed on the rubble of the Fujimori regime.

On this May Day Trotskyists redouble the struggle to win anti-imperialist unity and a common continental struggle of all workers' and peasants' organizations, from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego, winning a Latin American Congress of workers and poor peasants in Lima to coordinate the anti-imperialist struggle of the oppressed masses of Latin America.

On this "International Workers' Day" we raise the banner for socialist revolution and the unity of the international working class. It is in these struggles that the clean banners of the Fourth International, which the destroyers of Trotskyism lay at the feet of Stalinism all over the world, really fly. And this May Day was no exception.
