Students from the Complutense University of Madrid begin an encampment in support of the Palestinian people

Long live the internationalist struggle of the student movement
against the genocide by Zionism in Gaza!

Last Tuesday, the encampment that is currently carried out at the Complutense University of Madrid began under the slogan of “Free Palestine!”.

Like students from the US, France and different places of the planet, in the Spanish State students have stood up in defense of the martyred Palestinian masses, fighting for universities to break any type of relation with the Zionist-fascist state of Israel and denouncing Spanish imperialism that supports Netanyahu's massacres.

Today, more than 400 students  were already camping who stated: “internationalism is a duty.”

Faced with the student struggle, the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities was forced to issue a statement cynically saying that they were going to “review the collaboration agreements” with the state of Israel. But the students stay firm: they want a complete severing of relations with genocidal Zionism!

The path to achieve this and redouble the fight to end the Holocaust by Biden and Netanyahu, which has the support of the entire imperialist European Union, is the one that began to take place in the assemblies of the camp, which were attended by different unions and sectors of workers to join forces with the students and begin to raise the need for a common struggle, as was the case of the University cleaning workers, the metro workers, the Social Health Union of Madrid and the journalists' union.
Government parties such as the PSOE, PCE and Sumar are trying to prevent at all costs the wielding of this powerful worker-student unity, seeking to chastise the forces of the students on THE university campuses so that they do not go in search for their best allies: the working class.
Opposite to them, the student base has begun to discuss inviting different worker sectors and labor organizations to participate in their assemblies to vote together on the steps to follow.

This is the way to go further! Make way to worker-student unity!
From the assembly of the Complutense camp, let the unions and combative labor and anti-imperialist organizations that fight in solidarity with the Palestinian masses of Gaza,  take up the call of the Palestinian unions for the International General Strike on Nakba Day this May 15, to paralyze the Zionist war machine financed by imperialism!

For the destruction of the fascist Zionist State of Israel!
For a free, secular, democratic and non-racist Palestine from the Jordan River to the sea!
