Appeal to the workers and Marxists of Japan

A revolutionary bloc of support for the Peruvian masses must be set up at the international level

Dear comrades of the JRCL-RMF

We have sent a statement from Peru of January 4 reporting on the fight of the working class and the exploited masses against the coup, confronting the Fujimori military and their repression directly commanded by the US. We have also sent you a statement of January 9 regarding the massacre perpetrated by the army in Juliaca, department of Puno in southern Peru.

While the fighting in southern Peru against the murderous army intensifies, with roadblocks and attempts of taking over the airports, workers and peasants from those regions arrived at the capital city, Lima. There, they took to the streets and began to take steps to forge the unity of workers and peasants from all over Peru to overthrow Boluarte and the counterrevolutionary coup, despite the treacherous Stalinist leadership of the CGTP union bureaucracy, which has put all its forces trying to prevent the combats of deep Peru from being taken into their hands by the workers of Lima. Despite this, thousands of young rebels, workers, students, etc. opened the universities of Lima so as the protesters who came from the regions to take refuge.

Dual power organisms have emerged in the southern regions and are spreading to northern Peru. The two main highways entering Lima, which is beginning to be fenced, were blocked. In some regions, police stations have been burned. There are daily open clashes with the police.
The Stalinist bureaucracy wants to prevent the unions from joining in a common coordination with the organizations of struggle that have already sprung up throughout Peru. The clashes began on December 7, and only on January 19 this bureaucracy called for a strike, which was symbolic and with the purpose to relocate themselves.
But despite this, thousands of young people, workers and students took to the streets of Lima to support the protesters. There, a first line of combat begins to emerge, as in Chile or Colombia before. The revolutionary general strike is in full development.

Undoubtedly, the US embassy and the Fourth Fleet of the Pacific are organizing the coup. We send you the statements of the commander-in-chief of the US Navy in the Pacific, who on January 19, when the rebellious people were being brutally repressed, met with her subordinates: the officers of the navy and other sepoys of the armed forces from Peru.
You will see that these statements are a confession. She says that Peru, Argentina and Bolivia have the largest lithium reserves on the planet, as well as minerals and 30% of the water reserve. The US, in its crisis, comes for everything. The counterrevolutionary coups are part of their offensive.

The governments of the native bourgeoisies, always junior partners of imperialism, supported by Stalinism, the swindlers of the "Bolivarian revolution" and the currents that have broken away openly with the Fourth International and its program, as in Chile, Bolivia, Colombia, or in Peru with Castillo, they come to disorganize the mass offensive with siren songs, so that later, with counterrevolutionary blows, imperialism crushes the masses.
Latin America begins to be a volcano, where on the one hand the brutal imperialist offensive to plunder its wealth and raw materials collides (as we also see it in the agribusinesses of Argentina and Brazil), and a phenomenal response of the masses that go from country to country and escapes from the hands of the treacherous leaderships, but then, after controlling them, they hand them over and betray them.

You will be able to see that all the forces of the revolutionary groups of the FLTI have turned to Peru, where we have a nucleus, the Socialist League of the Internationalist Workers (LSTI), which is broadcasting live from the front lines.
We have relations with the coordinators of workers and peasants, true dual power organisms, still embryonic, which have marched to take over Lima. They have raised the battle cry that their fight is for a NATIONAL INSURGENCY and that they are not planning to go away from Lima until the government falls.

Our battle is for all the organizations of the masses in struggle to be coordinated and centralized, so that the grassroots of the unions and of the CGTP, with assemblies, struggle committees and strike pickets, fight to get rid of the traitors to the union bureaucracy, who at every step seek to negotiate with Dina Boluarte, and coordinate with the great masses of workers and peasants who have arrived in Lima. The combat is for the disarmament of the police and the arming of the masses.
The key, in our opinion, is for the double power to be set up, and with the authority it is gaining in combat, for it to be able to call the rank-and-file soldiers, to disarm the coup officers.
Our battle then is to set up the organizations suitable for the current combat of mass political struggle, which will pave the way to topple the government as well as the puppet parliament, the justice for the rich and the Fujimori regime as a whole, and the murderous officers’ caste of the armed forces, true lackeys of the Fourth Fleet of the US Navy. This process is ongoing.

Sectors of these organizations that have traveled hundreds of kilometers to reach Lima are already openly denouncing the Stalinist traitors of the CGTP through an open letter, which we attach. In it, the true revolutionary state of mind of the insurgent masses can be felt, who do not see the possibility of conquering the land, eating or having a decent life without overthrowing the government and the infamous regime. On this path, we insist, the masses must get rid of the treacherous collaborationist leaderships that divide their struggles.

You will also be able to watch some videos -which we attach- of correspondents from our press, the International Workers Organizer, together with leaders of the LSTI (FLTI group in Peru) broadcasting the combats from there to all Latin America and internationally. In the Peruvian revolution that is beginning, the future of Latin America and also of the workers of the Pacific is at stake to a large extent.

The union federation of the workers of Colombia UTC took our statement calling for a continental congress of worker and peasant organizations to unite the struggle of all the exploited in Latin America against imperialism. Please find attached this statement, which is one of the key statements that we have released these days, which has been read by thousands of fighters in Lima on fire.

These materials and appeals will also be sent to the militant syndicalism of the Spanish State, to the Syrian resistance, to Iran, to the left wings of the French workers who are entering the fight and to the wings of the anarchist movement that are fighting in Ukraine and Belarus against the invasion of Putin, among others.
The more than 50 dead in the combats in Peru demand justice. The International Network for the Freedom of Political Prisoners and Justice to Our Martyrs has called for the freedom of the more than 200 prisoners that the regime took hostage from the masses that arrived in Lima.

We know how important for you it is this combat in Peru against the US Fourth Pacific Fleet, which, together with the US military bases in Japan, is the advance guard of the imperialist offensive on this region of the planet.
Comrades, please know that you have our pages open to publish your positions so that they are known by the masses of Peru.
Fujimori ruled there, and today his party led by his daughter is the one that is organizing the counterrevolutionary coup with the Gringos. There is no doubt that if workers, revolutionary Marxists and militant youth from Japan called to crush the coup of the Fujimori generals under the command of the US, it would surely encourage the enthusiasm and militant internationalism of the working class that has entered into combat.
Our current invites you to intervene with us in this process; for your positions to reach the masses of Peru. We know that in Japan there is a Peruvian community, which was taken as super-exploited workers by the companies. We believe that your intervention is a key factor at this time. Fujimori represents the world imperialist counterrevolution and the Marxist revolutionaries of Japan are the expression and voice of the super-exploited workers of Japan, China and the entire Pacific. The Peruvian working class needs to know your position and your combat, which is taking place in an imperialist country, where you have courageously raised the war cry "the enemy is at home".
An action in the streets of Japan to support the struggle of the Peruvian workers and peasants against the coup by the Fujimori generals, like a demonstration to the Peruvian embassy, would be essential to give greater strength and impetus to the combat that is taking place in Peru, as you have already done on other occasions in support of the Chinese workers, the Chilean youth and many others, which demonstrates the internationalist nature of your combat.
Without a doubt, this is the path that the American workers must take to paralyze this offensive of the US imperialism with looting, destruction and war. This is the path to follow also for the workers of England, France and all the imperialist countries whose bourgeoisies plunder Peru. Let's take to the streets of the world's capitals in support of the Peruvian workers and peasants!
