Tens of thousands of pensioners and workers gathered in Madrid from different parts of the state

A huge step forward in the fight against the high cost of living, for wage increase, for work for all and to defend the public sector, in the huge demonstration called by the pensioners

Walking hundreds of kilometers, like the comrades who, from Alzira, Valencia, traveled to Vallekas; leaving at dawn in buses from Cadiz, Bilbao, Barcelona, and from Asturias, Galicia, Catalonia, Andalusia, the Basque Country etc. ... tens of thousands of pensioners, working men and women arrived in Madrid.
With the slogan raise the wages and pensions with the real CPI, against cuts in public services and the gender gap, the demonstration from Neptuno to Callao began.

This huge demonstration was possible thanks to the pensioners who, for the last four years, have been carrying on a thorough work, with rallies in the big and small cities, against the Toledo pact, for decent pensions and against the privatization of pensions. But we also know that this great demonstration could not have taken place without the enormous struggle of the comrades of Tubacex, the fight of the migrants denouncing their conditions and the massacre in Melilla, of the Kellys, the enormous struggle of the metal working class and the people of Cadiz who they wanted to stop with tanks and hundreds of fights that the working class, despite and against the union bureaucracy of CCOO and UGT has been giving these last years.
This demonstration has been a real catalyst for the working class which is enduring a real inflation of 27% in the supermarket shopping, which sees gasoline, mortgage bills, electricity and gas rising without measure. Meanwhile, the treacherous trade union bureaucracy of CCOO and UGT negotiate and sold out one by one the struggle of the working class and the pensioners to the PSOE-CPE-PODEMOS government that with inflation are attacking the working class and the poor people.

The militant unions, which have played a fundamental role in the last struggles of the workers' movement, have a great responsibility, that of coordinating and deepening this fight to throw out of the movement the traitors of CCOO and UGT who tie our hands, and thus, together with the pensioners, prepare a big general strike to recover what the government and the bosses take away from us every day.
