On the 11th anniversary of the Syrian revolution…
Revolutionary day of action about the Ukrainian question
From Russia, speech by Andrey Sevod, correspondent of
"The International Workers' Organizer"
Comrades, I would like to greet all participants in the conference. From inside Russia, which is currently under the pressure of the fascist counter-revolutionary dictatorship. And 250-300 kilometers east of the Ukrainian front.
Today we see the export of counter-revolution on the bayonets of Putin's mafia gang, which possesses weapons of mass destruction. Putinism, for the last 20 years, with the approval of imperialism, has played the role of the gendarme of Europe, the Caucasus and the Middle East. Now Putin's propagandists are complaining about "Russophobia" and the fact that the entire Western world is against them. But not everything is so simple. Putinism was an important partner of imperialism in the so-called "war on terror", that is, the suppression of the resistance of the peoples of the Middle East and the North Caucasus. Today, imperialism is trying to restrain its rabid Kremlin dog a little.
As can be judged from the events of the last month, the counter-revolutionary regime is waging war not only against the Ukrainian people, but, first of all, against all those who are dissatisfied within Russia. Wartime is a convenient excuse for repression and white terror. Today, the Putin regime is further enslaving the workers, it suppresses any grassroots protest activity of the masses, instills an atmosphere of fear, lies, denunciations, and repressions. In general, a classic of any fascist regime.
The military failures and losses of the Putin regime that invaded Ukraine give rise to hope for the weakening and collapse of the counter-revolutionary dictatorship. Which is especially important in the context of the Syrian revolution, because the defeat of the Russian military machine is a chance for the Syrian masses to regain everything that the Assad and Putin gangs have taken from them since 2015. |
