Revolutionary day of action about the Ukrainian question

The Putin-led Russian government is advancing its troops from three directions towards Kiev to launch an all-out attack. With the aim of toppling the Zelensky-led Ukrainian government, which he branded as a 'neo-Nazi government', Putin has besieged the capital and opened fire on urban districts. We must not allow the Russian forces to carry out a general attack on Kiev!

Putin's initial plot to swiftly place Kiev under control, thereby setting up a puppet government, was frustrated by the valiant resistance of Ukrainian fighters. In a fit of frenzy, Putin ordered his army to launch a 'scorched-earth operation' against Ukrainian cities, to mercilessly destroy apartment houses, schools, hospitals and all. Stupidly, he is convinced that utmost brutalities could thwart Ukrainian people's fighting spirit.

Putin and his camarilla, to whom the KGB's style of doing things is second nature and who are possessed by the frenzy of great Russianism, are now literally mounting assaults on Ukrainian people without even concealing their cruelty as the offspring of Stalinists.

At the sight of such assaults, Ukrainian people's resentment is boiling up more and more against the Putin administration. At this very moment, they are carrying out resolute guerrilla attacks across the country to drive back Russian troops.
The Putin administration, which has realized that the battle situation is getting worse with its soldiers shaken, is moving to mobilize to the Kiev front the mercenary troops of the Bashar al-Assad regime which has repeatedly got involved in horrific carnage in Syria. And one more thing that must be noted is that, in order to prevent the US and NATO from interfering in this war, Putin has declared that he considers their economic sanctions 'to be a declaration of war against Russia', and besides, is threatening them by referring to nuclear attacks. We must never allow indiscriminate attacks on or genocide against Ukrainians by the Putin government!

In the middle of their fighting with resistance, Ukrainian people are ruminating on their history of struggles against 'Stalin's Russia', with deep resentment in mind. Stalin trampled the Leninist principle concerning national questions after proletarian revolutions, 'separation, then federation', and implemented his policy to 'Russianize' Ukraine. This resulted in millions of Ukrainians starving to death. That was a grave crime committed by Stalinism, false Marxism-Leninism (based on the theory of 'socialism in one country'). Putin not only abuses Lenin but even censures Stalin, who took such policies, for 'allowing Ukrainians' imprudence'. This devotee of Great Russianism is desperate to 'annihilate' the very existence of the Ukrainian nation.
We call on Ukrainian working people. Defeat Putin and his invading army with your unbending battles of resistance! Revive the spirit of the Ukrainian soviet revolution, which was achieved in unity with the Russian revolution, and fight in solidarity with Russian working people who are struggling against the tyranny of Putin.
At home, Putin is hell-bent on suppressing people's rebellions by using the state violence of his authoritarian ruling system based on the FSB (Federal Security Service). Despite this barbaric repression, struggles against 'Putin's war' are burning and spreading throughout Russia.

We call on the working class and all the people in Russia. Organize an 'antiwar - anti-Putin' struggle! Topple the Putin-led authoritarian ruling system based on the FSB!

We call on the people of the world. In solidarity with Ukrainian people fighting their resistance, and with Russian people arising despite the repression, create a surge of antiwar struggles based on proletarian internationalism! Never, ever allow a general attack on Kiev!

As a Great Russian nationalist who abhors the Russian revolution, Putin aims to make Ukraine a tributary to Russia. His devouring ambition is to revive 'Great Russia' by pushing back the eastward expansion of NATO and recovering its sphere of influence taken away after the collapse of the USSR. Seeing astutely that imperialist America has revealed its historic decline amid the pandemic, the Putin administration has launched the aggression on the basis of an advance agreement with the Xi Jinping regime of neo-Stalinist China. All this is elucidated clearly in the JRCL statement.

Comrades! In order to change this dark 21st century into a brilliant proletarian century, let us fight with us, the revolutionary left in Japan, who are fighting on the basis of the strategy for world revolution: 'anti-imperialism, anti-Stalinism'!
