Internationalist conference on the 12th anniversary of the Syrian Revolution

We keep going forward. Now, a comrade that we had already mentioned will take the floor. She is a comrade who also, practically isolated, in a country where the Basharist regime was clearly supported, from her place, from her small portion in the world, has contributed so much to the fight of the Syrian revolution and to the fight of the world revolution. Although she believes that this is just a "grain of sand", with her actions she gives fresh air to comrades who are thousands of kilometers away and today we have her with us. She is comrade Silvia. We are going to ask her to take the floor and share with us what she has to say in this tribute to the 12th of the Syrian revolution.

Silvia: Good afternoon everyone. Greetings to the comrades who are here at this event. Special greetings to the comrades in Syria. I am grateful for the opportunity to be present at this important celebration of the twelfth anniversary of the Syrian revolution.

It is an honor to be together once again as the Syrian revolution is of fundamental importance in the struggle of the world working class. For being a slandered, abandoned and martyred revolution in a brutal way never seen before.

But, despite all the misfortunes, the heroic resistance of the Syrian people keeps the flames of the revolution alive, defying its executioners who are trying to bury it in every way.

We cannot stop mentioning here, as the comrades have already said, that in recent months, a very important event took place, which  glorifies even more the history of the revolution, of the mass resistance in Syria. We are talking about the uprisings against the conspirators and traitors who throughout these 12 years they have posed as friends and defenders of the revolution and now they are showing their true faces as they prepare to embrace the bloodthirsty Assad regime, which martyred and displaced more than half the country to defend the interests of imperialism.

I dedicate my solidarity to the resistance of the Syrian people who, relentlessly and heroically, remain standing raising the flag of the revolution, which has become a symbol of the fight against oppression, tyranny and exploitation.

We are together until the regime falls. Solidarity with the martyrs of the revolution, solidarity with the political prisoners, solidarity with the victims of the terrible earthquake that further harmed the martyred people.
