The Syrian masses take to the streets again
Down with the regime! Long live the revolution!
For about a month Syria has been experiencing a hunger-powered uprising in all parts of the country. The war cry is "the people want the fall of the regime" and "Free the detainees". It is an uprising against a fascist regime, against the dictatorship of Al Assad, against the partition of the nation from Geneva, against the occupation, against the control of the local bourgeoisies, and despite 12 years of genocide with millions of killed, displaced and hundreds of thousands of tortured political prisoners.
The uprising started in southern Syrian cities under the jackboot of Al Assad, mainly Swayda and Daraa. From there it spread like wildfire to Latakia, Hama, Homs, Deir ez Zor, Idlib and Aleppo. The Syrian masses took to the streets again. The Syrian revolution is back with general strikes, marches, rallies, roadblocks and total shutdowns.
It all started in response to a brutal increase in fuel prices, which pushed all the prices of basic needs goods much higher, making impossible to access them. Besides, we have to bear in mind the scarcity of those goods. It is hard to get fuel, bread or other basic product, and if you get some, the prices are way too high. Al Assad had to remove all subsidies because the oil is too expensive in the world market facing rising prices and the Syrian oil is stolen by the US directly.
The masses are rising up again and make the Geneva partition agreements blow up in the air
The uprising of the masses blew up the plans of al-Assad and Iran to unload the full weight of the crisis on them. But it also blew up the partition agreements of the Geneva conference, since the masses escaped the control of the local bourgeoisies. Then other bourgeoisies appeared, contesting the status quo, looking for a bigger share of the business.
This happened with the local bourgeoisies in the oil desert area of Deir Ez Zor. They claim to be the original inhabitants of that land who were stripped of business by the YPG, who became the security guards of the US. They are involved in a fight to displace the YPG and to control the oil area on behalf of the US, which continues to occupy it with its military bases. Turkey underneath is supplying them with weapons and FSA men because it needs a share of that business as well.
Once again on the deceptions of Rojava, the pact between the PKK with al-Assad and the role of the reformist left
As a result of this confrontation, the bourgeois leaderships of the FSA take advantage of it and want to manipulate the masses, diverting them from the struggle against al-Assad by saying that the fight is now against the YPG, supported by the betrayal of the PKK's agreement with Bashar back in 2012.
The deceptions that the reformist left made the workers of the world believe in a supposed revolution in "Rojava" are unmasked, exposing the importance of the oil area and the fact that the US power and the seven sisters plundering the black gold reign there. The masks of all slanders on the Syrian masses, who are revolting today, are falling off, showing that it is the workers, the poor peasants, who are fighting for a dignified life against a fascist starving regime, a revolution of which the Kurdish masses are not part because their leadership made a pact with their executioners.
New traps and deceptions seek to manipulate the rising masses
The masses have risen up again all over Syria crying out for the fall of the regime and that is a fact that the reformist left cannot deny, and now it is trying to relocate, after having imposed an ignominious siege of silence and slander on the Syrian masses so that al-Assad and Putin can massacre with impunity.
HTS is trying to do the same in Idlib, after having closed the fronts, hoarding weapons and imposing an iron grip on the interior of that province in order to keep the businesses for itself. Now it has launched a "plan of offensive" of "several phases" on fronts in Hama, Latakia, Idlib and Aleppo, opening fire against the regime, engaging in skirmishes just to relocate, but with no intention of reaching Damascus as demonstrated by the poor weaponry they are using.
Putin, who has not held back any bombs, sent his planes to bomb Idlib and the surrounding area, not only the battlefronts but also the uprising masses.
The way out for the masses cannot come from the UN and its resolution 2254 which only seeks the replacement of the executioner of the Syrian masses agreed at the Geneva conference. For years they sat together to agree on the partition and massacre of the Syrian people. Neither is it behind this or that local bourgeoisie, which wants to manipulate the masses to fill its pockets, as we have seen these years. The displaced people from the refugee camps in the north know the same and that is why they are taking to the streets with the slogan "No to resolution 2254". They do not want a Syria under the tutelage of Geneva, plundered by imperialism and bled dry.
In Swayda a "democratic front" has been set up to fight for this way out, and in a "peaceful" way... When Syria is a war zone and al-Assad has shown that he responds with fire! The way out of the partition, the misery, the fascist boot of al-Assad will not come from the UN nor from those who made pacts with him or seek to change executioners.
Only the working class can unite Syria and kick out al-Assad and all the invader troops
Only the working class can provide a solution to the partition, to so much genocide, to so much misery that the Syrian masses are subjected to. It is their demands that unite the whole of Syria. Out with al-Assad, out with all invading troops!
Syrian National Assembly of one per 10,000 inhabitants!
Expropriation without payment and place under workers' control every factory, workshop and oil well to put all the resources to feed the people and defeat the regime!
Expropriation of the banks into a single state bank!
Let the coordinating committees of workers, poor peasants and independent militiamen return!
Let´s take back the weapons that the bourgeois army parties have seized!
Syria is back on its feet, and this is what the masses throughout the Maghreb and the Middle East need, in particular the Palestinian masses who face the Zionist offensive day by day. From Idlib, Swaydah and Daraa to the West Bank and Gaza, one and the same intifada!
The working class has the key to free Syria uniting a single struggle with the workers of Iran, Russia that rose up against the war and the American working class.
The Syrian revolution will win as part of a single fight of the working class internationally.
