Insurrection in Binish against HTS

Brutal repression to retake the city

For months there have been demonstrations protesting against HTS (former Al Nusra) in the liberated areas, because it has agreed to the partition of Syria together with Turkey, the genocidal al-Assad and his partner Putin, and consequently has imposed a regime of terror and persecution.

The cry of “the people want the fall of Al Jolani (HTS leader)” sounded again yesterday in the streets of Binish (Idlib province) because they can no longer bear to live among the famine, misery and repression that HTS imposes. The forces of repression under the command of Al Jolani charged and ran over a young woman, daughter of the political prisoner Abu Omar.

It was then that all the anger broke out of the people that had offered hundreds of thousands of martyrs, and thousands and thousands of political prisoners when fighting for bread and freedom. Today they are suffering at the hands of HTS as yesterday with Bashar. For this reason, the entire town flooded the streets of Binish. The forces of repression were overwhelmed and had to leave the city, as the masses were showing their willingness to fight and recover their revolution.

But, unlike in 2011, they did not advance by taking over police stations or weapons. The so-called dignitaries and the supporters of today's National Army (former Free Syrian Army) managed to impose that it was a "peaceful revolution", which resulted in the exploited insurgents not being ready to confront HTS when it rearmed and returned with its forces. Patrols and weapons burst everywhere and snipers fired from the roofs of the houses. Thus they managed to disperse the mobilization, leaving dozens injured.

The next day, HTS released all Binish political prisoners, including Abu Omar, and held a meeting with them to reestablish HTS city authorities and call on the people to calm down and not revolt again.

But the fire has not gone out. The workers and exploited will return to the streets. The people want the fall of Al Jolani! To move forward and defeat Bashar, we must defeat those who have handed over our revolution and made pacts with the genocidal fascists and occupiers. Let the coordination committees return! Let's take back weapons for the people! Let us march to Damascus to do justice for our martyrs and open the borders of the Golan Heights to fight alongside our Palestinian brothers for the destruction of the Zionist-fascist State of Israel.
