International Event on the 13th anniversary of the Syrian revolution

I had the honor of participating with the SIMON BOLIVAR INTERNATIONAL BRIGADE -BSB- in the victory of the Nicaraguan people, who, after a long struggle, achieved on July 19, 1979 the overthrown of the dictatorship of Anastasio Somoza Debayle that together with his family had oppressed the country for decades.  It was then when the Sandinista National Liberation Front -FSLN-, an army-party of Castroite orientation, appropriate forbitself this triumph, and once in power sold it out to the opposition bourgeoisie in the Government Junta of National Reconstruction, which governed the country until 1996. That year in El Salvador, the guerrilla of the Farabundo Martí National Liberation Front -FMLN- abandoned the armed struggle to submit itself to bourgeois democracy.
Because of Castroism, the only armed alternative in Central America vanished in Nicaragua and El Salvador.

In 2011, the world situation changed and Tunisia was the spark that ignited the revolution throughout the Maghreb and the Middle East. Millions took to the streets in Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Iran, Yemen, Sudan and Iraq. As part and parcel of these struggles, a great revolution broke out in Syria; there the masses split the base of the army and set up the popular and revolutionary coordination committees. The masses of the whole Middle East saw that in the revolutionary uprising of workers and peasants in Syria the road was open to reach Jerusalem in Palestine and defeat Zionism. That is why today again, we Trotskyists organized in the FLTI present our homage to the current Syrian resistance and to the revolutionary socialists who have fallen fighting in the revolution.

Honor to the Trotskyists of the Leon Sedov Brigade! Their generation fights and dies in Gaza and insurgent Palestine today and fights against the butcher Biden in the streets of Washington and New York, in Europe, Africa and the rest of the world. Their fight has not been and will not be in vain: Death to al-Assad, criminal guardian of the Golan borders! Out with Putin, the Ayathollahs with their Iranian Guard, the US imperialism, Turkey and all the invading troops in Syria! For the destruction of the Zionist-fascist state of Israel! In Syria and Palestine, the same fight against the same enemy!
