International Event on the 13th anniversary of the Syrian revolution

Good evening to all comrades attending this meeting. I want to thank you for the possibility and it is an honor to be able to speak on this 13th anniversary of the Syrian revolution.
On this event I was able to watch the video that showed all the actions that were carried out for the Syrian revolution at an international level, and I see that the unions in Italy, and in fact throughout Europe, have done very little for the Syrian revolution, victims of the disinformation and betrayal of the social-imperialist left that was grouped in the World Social Forum in Tunisia.

The same disinformation and betrayal also occurred when the events in Ukraine took place. It was evident that in 2014 it was the masses that had taken over Maidan Square and settled there and won the streets. But in Italy and all of Europe, both at the beginning and now, they said it was the CIA, NATO, which was not true. This misinformation and betrayal of the European social-imperialist left prevented the solidarity of the European working class with the workers of Ukraine and the countries of the former Soviet Union.
When Putin invaded Ukraine and there was at stake the interest of North American imperialism, the reaction of a large part of the European left was to present Ukraine's experience in the fight against fascism in the Second World War with the help of the Soviet army as equal to this one developing now “with the support of Putin”. On the contrary, the ongoing war is one of occupation and they have passed it off as a war of liberation, when what it was about was an occupation and the defense of USA’s interests, as Comrade Carlos brilliantly explained before.

Today, when Zionism is carrying out an unjustified massacre in Palestine, where the social-imperialist left can no longer mask or slander the masses, they try to prevent the continuous mobilizations that have been taking place worldwide in support of Palestine from making a leap of consciousness in the world working class towards the organization of an active militant solidarity sending effective military aid to the organizations in Gaza and breaking the siege there and transforming it into a revolution of the entire Middle East. Therefore, they lead this entire movement to exert pressure actions towards the International Court of Justice and wait for that court, led by the US, to issue a ruling that could stop the genocide being carried out by Zionism, also financed by the US.

Due to these actions carried out by the treacherous world social-imperialist left, in these 13 years no union or representative organization of workers has taken any action, at least at the European level, in favor of the masses of Syria. Nor have any general strikes been conducted, except for some isolated activities, for the victory of the Palestinian masses. Much less for Ukraine, it did not live up to the actions of the young Russians who rose up against the war to avoid killing their Ukrainian brothers.
This almost zero action of the workers' organizations in favor of the Syrian, Palestinian masses and even in Ukraine has been the work of the social-imperialist left, supported by the remains of Stalinism, which have impregnated  the working class deeply and their intervention is qualitative to prevent the latter’s progress.

In Europe we see the possibility of a new imperialist war. The only way to stop the path to that war is to raise the flag of the Fourth International, to confront imperialism in Europe and worldwide, and fight for the destruction of the imperialist European Union, and the establishment instead of the United Socialist States of Europe.
