From the Commission of Convicted Workers, Relatives and Friends of Las Heras, we would like to send our warmest greetings to all those present on this day, especially to our comrades from Syria who are for us an example of struggle and resistance against the fascist al-Assad and Putin.

We will never forget that in our struggle against the Videlista court that sentenced us to life imprisonment, it was comrade Abu al Baraa and the comrades of the Leon Sedov Brigade who stood up alongside us to face the sentence. On this eighth anniversary of the murder of our comrade, with clenched fists and a lump in our throats, we remember him as what he was, a great fighter for the victory of the Syrian revolution and the international revolution, which is undoubtedly the only way to end the hardships and sufferings to which this rotten capitalism subjects us.

The struggle of the comrade lives today in every battle of the workers and exploited throughout the world, and without a doubt it is today in Gaza, which is being massacred by the Zionist occupier on behalf of USA and all the imperialist powers.

Our hearts have always been and are with Palestine because with them, we also faced the oil companies' tribunal that sentenced us. We will never forget when comrade Sammer al Issawi and hundreds of prisoners in the prisons of Israeli-occupied Jerusalem went on hunger strike on December 12, 2013, just as we were marching to the court where we received our sentence.

The same was done by our comrade Georges Abdallah, a fighter for the Palestinian cause imprisoned to this day for 40 years in France alongside Basque political prisoners, who refused to receive their food ration in solidarity with us.

The Palestinian flag flew in our hands and in the hands of our families on that very difficult day for us.

But we are convinced that thanks to the international solidarity we received from them, as well as from our comrades of the JRCL-RMF from Japan, from the families of the miners killed in Marikana and from dozens of organizations worldwide and also of Argentina, today, although we were convicted, we remain free together with our families, fighting for our acquittal.

The Palestinian flag will always be firmly in our hands, as it has been in every struggle in which we have participated. The flag of the Syrian revolution is ours, because we are part of the same struggle.

The workers of the world must trust in their own strength. Let us not be fooled any longer: separated country by country we will be defeated. By uniting across borders we will be invincible. That is why the defeat of the genocidaires al-Assad and Putin in Syria lives today in Palestine. Our best allies are in USA where workers and the youth denounce the murderers of Biden and Netanyahu. They live in every action that is carried out worldwide in solidarity with Palestine. And we will not rest until Palestine is free from the river to the sea and the occupiers are expelled from there.

Long live the unity of the world working class!
