Revolted by the massacre of the Palestinian people, the USA youth who carry out daily demonstrations and protests, take over universities, and suffer persecution by the murderous US State, have made an important denouncement against those who want to falsely pose as friends of the Palestine cause, while they are supporters of the genocide perpetrated by Zionism and commanded by US imperialism.
This last Saturday, Bowman's campaign closed, for the internal primaries of Biden's party, whereas this political, one of the highest representatives of the Democratic Party wing classified as "progressive", was running for congressman from New York. Ocasio-Cortez and Sanders, the leaders of that wing of the party, were present to support him. The entire world left, from the Communist Party to renegades of Trotskyism, want to present them as “lefts” and an “expression of the uprising of the US masses” because they speak of socialism, while they have subjugated the proletariat and the Black Lives Matter movement and put them at Biden's feet.
So much so that the ISO voted to dilute itself in 2019 and enter the party of Sanders, Bowman and Ocasio-Cortez (the DSA), while others such as the MST of Argentina (a member of the FIT-U), for example, entered the said party international leg.
Today these cynics of the supposed "left wing" of the Democratic Party want to paint themselves as allies and friends of the Palestinian people... When they are the friends of their murderers!
But at that event of the Democratic Party, this sinister policy was denounced and exposed by the vanguard youth of the United States. The Palestinian advocacy group WOL (Within Our Lifetime) were holding a demonstration, publicly denouncing that Ocasio-Cortez, Bowman and Sanders have blood on their hands because they support and are from the same party as Genocide Joe Biden, who commands the massacre of the Palestinian people, because they will call to vote for him “against Trump's right” as they did in 2020, because they have repeatedly voted to arm the Zionist gendarme and provide it with funds, support the alleged Zionist State “right to defend itself”, denounce the Palestinian Resistance’ violence, among other crimes of this supposed “progressive left.”
Today, due to the denunciation that the youth’s groups are making, their members are slandered and infamously accused by the supporters of the Palestinian massacre and enemies of the working class of the US and the world, but the former do not stop their fight.
Yesterday, June 27, while the presidential debate between Biden and Trump was taking place, the youth went to hold a demonstration outside against the “two sides of the same coin”, “the two-headed snake”, calling to defeat them in the streets, following the path of the oppressed peoples.
USA youth has stood up, confronting genocidal Biden and his lackeys, the murderous police, and all the transnational corporations that finance Zionism, seeking to unite the struggles for the liberation of the Palestinian people, against the police dogs, for Black Lives Matter, for the freedom of political prisoners, with the immigrants. A fundamental ally of the world working class, and in particular of colonial and semi-colonial countries, is up in the fight, shouting “Intifada”. It needs to unite its ranks with the US proletariat that has also showed its strength with a huge Auto Workers strike this year, which was also brought by the union bureaucracy and the “progressives” to the feet of Biden.

Statement of Students for Justice in Palestine

For nine months, the Palestinian people have endured the greatest suffering since al-Nakba of 1948. The Palestinian diaspora within the so-called United States and across the globe have fought relentlessly to end this genocide, halt the US war machine, and force our institutions to cease their participation in the attempted annihilation of the Palestinian people and land.
Our efforts are channeled through our organizations: prominent among them, the Palestinian Youth Movement, Within Our Lifetime, the US Palestinian Community Network, and Students for Justice in Palestine lead our fight ideologically, politically, and materially. We echo the statement from the Palestinian Youth Movement on June 23: An attack on one is and attack on all, and an injury to one is an injury to all.
Attempts to divide or undermine any sector of our movement, especially from the “left”, are unacceptable. We demand accountability.
The smears against Within Our Lifetime over the past two weeks from prominent members of the Democratic Socialist of America, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), Jamaal Bowman, and genocide Joe himself are attacks on the Palestinian liberation movement as a whole.
However, these are not isolated incidents; our movement has navigated counterinsurgent tactics, smear campaigns, and manipulation from the “progressive left” for months. All the while, these same elected officials have used our mass struggle as a political prop. We are not loyal to our oppressors; elected officials who choose to enable genocide, endorse the architects of said genocide, or otherwise stand in the way of Palestinian liberation will face the political consequences of those choices.
We assert that the mass movements of the oppressed form the engine of change. The Black and Indigenous nations -who have resisted genocide, enslavement, and systemic national oppression within the US settler colony for centuries- alongside refugees, displaced peoples, and immigrant communities, possess unparalleled revolutionary potential. The advanced sectors of the US socialist movement recognize this; dismantling colonialism, national oppression, the carceral state, and exploitation is principal.
For the past half-century, the emphasis placed on elected officials by many sectors of the “left” has only diverted energy from developing the popular education, grassroots movements, and mass power that form the backbone of our collective struggle for liberation. These elected officials are not conduits of popular power. They do not share the interests of the nationally oppressed or the working classes. They are not out path to victory.
Figures like AOC and Jamaal Bowman have utility insofar as they leverage their positions within the belly of the beast to shield the masses and our righteous struggles for liberation, directly challenge white supremacist power structures, and stand firmly against Zionism and all manifestations of US imperialism.
Without these tangible actions, we regard these elected officials as our enemies.
Liberation will not come from the ballot box of the DSA electoral project but from the collective development and revolutionary action of the masses. We will not tolerate attacks on our movement’s political and moral character. To our comrades and allies within DSA and others working within the electoral project, we demand inmediate action to align your efforts with our struggle.

Statement addressing recent attacks and demonization of the Palestine movement in the United States by opportunists and members of the so-called American left
We condemn attempts to scapegoat the Palestinian movement for the results of any upcoming elections, and reject attempts by self-proclaimed progressive organizations to paint Palestinian organizations as unstrategic for refusing to buy into the push to “vote blue no matter who” while US bombs continue to rain down on our people in Gaza.
The lack of accountability we are being asked to accept is in fact a self-fulfilling prophecy whose promise is oppression and mass death. Our movement has the right to hold accountable those who deviate from these principles, especially when others will not.
For the last 9 months, people all across the United States have organized in opposition to Israel's genocide, and for the last 9 months, the Biden administration has ignored our mass movement, continuing to arm and facilitate this genocide. Biden and all elected officials who have endorsed him have blood of over 40,000 Palestinians on their hands. Elected officials -self-proclaimed as progressive or otherwise- who have voted to send money to the Zionist entity, or who have vilified the movement for Palestine, have the blood of our people on their hands.
As we near the 2024 elections, we know that these same elected officials will try to garner support from our community and movement. They, alongside the so-called progressive organizations endorsing them, will use the rhetoric of “lesser of two evils,” “vote out fascism” and “vote blue no matter who” to try to pressure us to back the very politicians responsible for genocide. And when we refuse -which we will- they will blame Palestinian organizations and communities for Republican victories. Let us be clear: the Democrats have no one to blame but themselves.
In the last few weeks, Democratic Socialists of America electeds Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jamaal Bowman smeared the Palestine movement, targeting Within Our Lifetime for organizing a protest outside an exhibit meant to manufacture further consent for the genocide of our people. Following these smears and in response to AOC, Bowman, and Sanders' endorsement of genocider-in-chief Joe Biden, WOL called for a protest outside a rally organized by AOC. What followed was a smear campaign against WOL, with so called progressives aiming to fed-jacket WOL for holding DSA electeds accountable.
For the past few years, PYM and the broader Palestine movement has sought to hold DSA accountable for its relationship and support for elected candidates who directly and materially support Israel and the Zionist movement through their votes for military aid, repression of the Palestine movement, and repeated attacks and smears of our movement. As a result of these efforts, we have witnessed DSA members smear, vilify, and fed-jacket our organization and members, as well as DSA members who support a more principled and concrete position on Zionism.
The so-called "progressives" of the Democratic party, from AOC to Bowman to Sanders, are complicit in this genocide: from endorsing Biden, to voting to send money to the Zionist entity, to smearing Palestinian organizations and conflating anti-Zionism with anti-semitism. Let us be clear: no amount of "lesser of two evils" rhetoric will bully the Palestine movement into supporting those complicit in the genocide of our people. We affirm that we have not only a right, but an obligation, to disrupt the activities of all electeds complicit in this genocide.
