Japan - April 27, 2021 Dear FLTI comrades, For the international Labour Day, we are sending from Japan our warmest message of solidarity to you all. We are striving in the van of militant Japanese workers and students who are fighting against brutal attacks from the ruling class and its government. At present, main cities in Japan including Tokyo are under a 'state of emergency', which is the third time now. Amid the continued pandemic depression, Japanese workers are suffering from dismissals, wage cuts and other ruthless attacks by monopoly capitalists. Their hardships of life are becoming unbearable due to the rejection of compensation by the Yoshihide Suga-led government, which emphasizes 'self-help'. This is truly a policy of abandoning the masses and neo-fascistic in nature. The established leaderships of opposition movements have however submitted to the ruling class. Denouncing their degeneration, we are struggling to create a strong fight back of the toiling masses. We are witnessing a terrible widening of 'gap between rich and poor' that we have never experienced before. This implies that capitalism in its terminal phase is revealing the cruelest class split. We call on workers of all countries to unite to fight against the capitalists who are attempting to survive the economic crisis at the sacrifice of the lives of the toiling masses and against the governments that support the greedy capitalists. Now is the time to fight together to open a new age. Denouncing Stalinists and all the treachery leaderships, let us advance! We also ring an alarm. Now in waters around Taiwan and Japan, war vessels of Chinese and US-Japanese forces, together with their war planes, are carrying out threatening actions against each other, thus creating a hair-trigger situation. In Okinawa, a southern island of Japan, located on the front line of rivalry, joint military drills of US and Japanese forces are being conducted almost every day with jet and gun sounds roaring, while a new US Marine base is being constructed, trampling down the strong opposition of local people. East Asia is now a focus of the global confrontation between the neo-Stalinist state of China, which is ambitious to seize hegemony over the 21st-century world, and the imperialist state of America, which is hell-bent to contain it. Here in Japan, we are resolutely promoting anti-war struggles against war preparations against China pushed forward jointly by US imperialism and the Japanese rulers as its ally. Let us create together an antiwar struggle to break through the crisis of war intensifying amid the US-China confrontation. Revolutionary workers and students in Japan are fighting arm in arm with comrades in Chile, Bolivia, Argentina and all revolutionary fighters around the world. Denounce the military regime of Myanmar for repressing and murdering rebel workers and people! Denounce the neo-Stalinist Chinese rulers and Russian rulers for supporting the bloodthirsty junta!
