Proposal of the Truth of the Oppressed, the paper of the Syrian socialists, for the December 3rd Skype meeting
After almost seven years of massacre and extermination, the destiny of the Syrian revolution that resists in the last trenches and that do not surrender is being defined today.
The genocide made by Al Assad against the Syrian people, doing the dirty work on behalf of all the imperialist powers, is being concealed at the Geneva meeting that is being held at the moment. This has been the case since the successive conferences held in Geneva, Vienna and Astana. These conferences are written with "D" of death. After each of them, Al Assad deepened his attack and massacre on the Syrian masses.
The Syrian people, in spite of the massacre, the siege and the betrayal, continue resisting in the last trenches and mobilizing against the generals of the Sunni bourgeoisie who go to those negotiation tables where the blood of the masses is sold out and negotiated, and where they try to cover up the genocide of the Syrian peoplewith a “peace” blanket. Despite the massacres, the bombings and the sieges, the cry of "The people want the downfall of the regime!" has not been silenced.
The oppressed of Syria, the besieged masses of Ghouta, those who by millions are in the refugee camps inside Syria and in real concentration camps in imperialist Europe, need the active and effective solidarity of the trade unions and workers' organizations that support the Syrian revolution.
We have almost seven years of massacre and the Syrian masses need more than ever the help of the workers of the world to break the siege on their revolution.
For years, dirt was thrown into the eyes of million of exploited in the world. They were made to believe that Al Assad was "anti-imperialist". Today in Geneva everything is clear. Imperialism has monitored all the powers and foreign troops that invade Syria and massacre the revolution. Today it does so even with its own troops in northern Syria.
Considering this, there are two tasks that no current that supports the Syrian revolution can ignore.
The first one is to condemn these conferences of death and the infamous pact of Trump, Putin, Erdogan, Iran and Saudi Arabia, whichhaveguaranteed since 2013 that Al Assad continues massacring the Syrian people and their revolution is crushed, as well as that murderous troops of the Saudi clan massacre the exploited of the revolutionary Yemen.
The second one is to fight to break the siege on the Syrian revolution and the starving masses. Workers' organizations can not remain indifferent. For years, left-wing parties that claimed to support the Syrian revolution begged the United States to defend the revolution and impose democracy. This is a fallacy and a deception. The US sent Putin and Al Assad to massacre the masses. The US freed the air space for their cruel bombardment. The US sent the ISIS to control the masses manu militari in the oil zones, as an Islamic guardian of oil pipelines and oil wells. He also sent Turkey to discipline the FSA generals to sell out the revolution from within.
It is time to say “enough!”. Trade unions and workers' organizations are already beginning to speak out against the Syrian genocide. They have shown solidarity with the political prisoners of Homs and with the besieged and massacred masses in Ghouta. This is the way forward!
The US anti-war movement, which stands today to stop the massacre in Syria, not without a hard debate inside, from withinthe imperialist beast, can organize a fundraising from worker, student, human rights, labor and feminist organizations in order to bring effective solidarity to refugees who are on the borders of Syria and in concentration camps, such as the ones in Greece, Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon.
It is about time for the workers of the world to stand up in solidarity with the masses of Syria!
Out withAl Assad! Down with the Geneva Conference and the infamous pact of Putin, Erdogan, Al Assad, the generals of the FSA and the USA!
Out with all the invading troops of Syria!
Out of the resistance all the Sunni generals who are in Geneva! They do not represent the Syrian revolution! We must disarm them and let the weapons return to the people! May the Coordination Committees of the Revolution return!
A single revolution, the single intifada from Cairo to Jerusalem, from Tunis to Damascus, from Sanaa to Bahrain, from Tehran to Tripoli!
We must break the siege of the Syrian revolution! We must break the siege to Ghouta!
As in the 1930s with the Spanish revolution, before it is too late, let's start a campaign to raise funds for the Syrian masses. In the unions and the workers' organizations let’s vote for the designation of a wage for each worker for our class brothers in Syria.
May the unions recognize the refugees and immigrants as their affiliates! This is the way to open the borders. The enemy is at home!
