Jamil's greeting, of Syrian origin from Aleppo in the Spanish State
Hello, I am Jamil, from Syrian origin from Aleppo, the most suffering city in the Syrian revolution.
I was detained in Syria in 2008. I was visiting Syria to see my family and I was detained on the subject of a false document saying that I wanted to make a coup against Assad.
I was detained for three months in several prisons in Syria, I suffered a lot, until when I left prison I had a muscular disability for suffering so much torture and so much.
I also want to mention all political prisoners around the world because I imagine what they feel.
I'm lucky to leave after three months. There are people who in Syria and throughout the world have been detained for years suffering torture and everything.
A day in prison is very hard, the time is very hard, you do not know what time it is, you are, what you eat or how you sleep. You do not know what is happening outside in the outside world.
That is why we support the Syrian revolution. In the Syrian Revolution we have only got out for freedom, we only want freedom, we do not want to change more, only freedom. Freedom, freedom.
Freedom, of course, is worth a lot. There is no freedom that is not worth. The French Revolution was a hundred years until it took its freedom.
Here in Syria we suffer and we will fight and continue fighting to have our freedom.
Freedom until the regime falls and those who support the regime.
We started the Syrian civilian revolution, we did not want weapons or fighting or anything, but the Assad regime has killed the first child in Daraa, is called Hamza al-Khatib, because he wrote on a wall "Freedom, we want only freedom, Let the regime fail."
This is what we have done, this is what we are suffering, what our brothers in Syria are suffering.
The situation in Syria is very bad, very bad. We do not know how many dead people there are until now. We do not know how many prisoners there are.
We have the fault because we want only freedom. This is what we want.
Now let's talk a little bit in Arabic. I want to send a message to our brothers who are in Syria, to see that we are with them.
We are with them until the last day of our life.
What we can do, what we can do here are manifestations, support the Syrian revolution. What we can do, nothing else we can do because we are here alone, no one supports us, is the whole world against our freedom.
Good afternoon, my brothers from Syria ... from all the cities of Syria. We are with you. We support you in your life. We ... alawita. May God be with you, guide you .... The revolution continues. Revolution is an idea, it is the revolution of dignity. It is not an oppressive revolution, no. It is a revolution against all oppressors. Not just against Al Assad. There are more oppressors. It is for freedom ... the freedom of all peoples around the world. It is of our brothers in all countries. It belongs to all refugees, political exiles.
I had to leave Syria in 2008, because I was persecuted, and I had to go into exile for having submitted a report on the truth of Al Assad's coup d'etat.
God be with you.
Well, this message I have sent to our Syrian friends who support the Syrian revolution, to give them a little support, which we can give.
Just the support, nothing more.
We are with them until the last day of our life. The revolution is not only for freedom, it is for everything, freedom of expression, this is the most important thing that we want in Syria and in the whole world.
Thank you.
