Daraa: Chronicle of a Siege, Massacre and Betrayal

Let's break the siege and stop the massacre of the genocidal forces of the regime and its allies in Daraa, with the complicity of Turkey and HTS!

After more than 70 days of siege, bombardment, and a blockade that prevented the entry of food, medicine, etc., the negotiation committees of Daraa (the local bourgeoisie) agreed on September 1st before Putin, the hand over of weapons of the resistance and give control of the city to Al Assad. It’s the fourth attempt to impose this pact of surrender, since in each previous time, the resistance didn’t accept it and didn’t surrender.
During these 70 days, the resistance in Daraa continued to fight and defeat every attempt by Al Assad to take the city militarily. Every time the fascist forces entered they were defeated in house-to-house combat. They cannot occupy Daraa. That is why the Syrian regime and its ally the Iranian Guard fell back to bombard from afar mercilessly killing women and children, while maintaining the siege to use hunger and total shortages as a weapon. For its part, Russia was in charge of "negotiating", approaching the Daraa negotiation committees, demanding them to accept the surrender agreement or the bombings would continue til the city was wiped off the map.

For Al Assad taking Daraa is vital

This is a key city where there are different projects for the passage of an important gas pipeline and the transnational companies cannot allow the resistance to control that area. There must enter Al Assad and Putin, the genocidal armies that have been doing the dirty work of all the imperialist powers. They are the custodians of that part of the pipeline.
After the last elections, where Al Assad proclaimed himself the government of the transition, it became clear that he relies only on foreign forces. He has no legitimacy with the Syrian people. Daraa was a city in which, even under the aegis of Damascus since 2018, there was resistance in certain polling places with armed clashes. Before, there had been mobilizations, clashes with the Assadist officers, local insurrections and they rejected Mandatory Military Service so as not to be part of the Assadist genocidal army ... Al Assad needs the disarmament, crushing and total surrender of the resistance and that his flag fly in Daraa, to settle as a government.

HTS and the National Army were and are also part of the siege of Daraa!

The heroic resistance struggle in Daraa, called "the battle of dignity", which was able to push back Al Assad and which endured a fierce siege and a bloody bombardment, aroused the solidarity of the exploited in northern Syria, especially in the refugee camps, which don’t stop mobilizing with the shout of "open the fronts to fight the regime!" and "Daraa, we are with you to death!"
But on the other hand, HTS and the so-called National Army (former FSA commanded directly by Turkey) never lifted a single finger to support Daraa. They didn’t open the fronts to confront the regime. On the contrary, they only did business with Al Assad, going so far as to open the passages and roads to trade directly between Idlib and Damascus. They are involved in thousands of deals with Al Assad and have no interest in confronting the regime. Their interests are those of their dollars and they are not to free Daraa. They keep the weapons in their arsenals tightly closed, and the fronts they don’t open.
For this reason, from the marches in northern Syria, Al Jolani (the top leader of HTS) was denounced as a traitor, because he didn’t open the fronts and submit under terror the exploited of Idlib while negotiating with the regime.

Daraa's heroic vanguard resists surrender attempts

Despite the siege of Al Assad, Iran, Russia, and also HTS and Turkey, there is a vanguard in Daraa that continues to resist. They had to retreat after 70 days of resisting, totally isolated and without food or supplies. Putin and the negotiating committees took advantage and announced an agreement. Russia was able to enter the city to begin disarmament, with an initial list of 34 people. But they couldn’t advance from there. There are thousands who have not yet disarmed and 50,000 people within the city of Daraa who don’t accept the pact.
The regime takes advantage and launches a campaign of arrests and assassinations. Russia threatens that if they don’t disarm, the bombings will return. Every so often Al Assad bombs again. At the same time, they try to show that the resistance is disarming, with the complicity of the local Daraa bourgeoisie.
It’s that the negotiating committees are already partners in business with Al Assad and Putin. This is how they were working and this is how they want to continue working. For this reason, to try to surrender the resistance, they try to show it that the pact is sustained, affirming that it’s the solution, threatening that whoever doesn’t comply with it is leading to defeat and massacre. They are told that the pact is a triumph because according to it neither Al Assad nor Iran would enter the city. This is a lie, since its Russia that enters, as if Putin was not part of the Al Assad front that drowned Syria in a bloodbath. The negotiating committees and their spokespersons claimed that the regime was humiliated because it wanted to destroy Daraa and had to stop its bombings, but in reality, the regime, which couldn’t defeat the resistance militarily, would be achieving everything it was looking for from the agreement : that their flag fly over the city, that their law be applied directly, Mandatory Military Servicebe applied without exception, and the resistance disarm completely, so their forces can even enter and do what they have to do without anyone to oppose them.
On the other hand, the negotiating committees affirmed that this pact was the way to break the siege so that there is no hunger. However, surrendering the weapons and putting under Al Assad's boot doesn’t solve the problem of hunger. It’s enough to see Damascus, where there isn’t even the most basic thing for the exploited: neither bread nor fuel.

We must break the siege of Daraa of Al Assad, Iran, Russia and also of Turkey and HTS!

Faced with the new onslaught of bombings, with the threat of Russia and the negotiating committees that are trying by all means to defeat and surrender the vanguard, while in the north there is no battle against the regime but rather businesses, there are still sectors in Daraa who have refused to hand over their weapons and continue to stand firm. There are more and more mobilizations in Idlib to open the fronts, fight against the regime, break the siege of Daraa and fight to recover the homes of the displaced.

We must disavow the surrender agreements of the "negotiating committees"! Let's break the siege and stop the massacre of the genocidal forces of the regime and its allies in Daraa, with the complicity of Turkey and HTS! Let the fronts be opened throughout Syria!
Only by defeating the regime will we recover the houses. Thousands of refugees yearn for the fronts to be opened to be part of this combat. But HTS and the National Army prevent it.
Out with the traitors who negotiate with the regime, leaving the resistance isolated! They are all sitting at the Geneva-Astana-Sochi conference, from where they break Syria on the basis of genocide, treason and surrender. Down with the Geneva conference!
Let the coordinating committees return! The weapons must be recovered!
We can only conquer the bread by expropriating businessmen, oil wells, the central bank, and for that We have to defeat the regime in Damascus! Out with Al Assad! Out with all invading troops!
