HUGE DEMONSTRATION IN MALI TO THE CRY OF
Justice for all martyrs!
Out with France, down with the government and regime of Mali!
Thousands of protesters in the streets of Bamako, the capital of Mali, took to the streets this Tuesday, August 11, demanding the resignation of President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita (IBK). Their banners read: "Justice for all martyrs", "Out with France and Boubou Sisse" (Prime Minister of Mali) and "IBK, resign for a renewal."
Fed up with so much hunger, unemployment, lack of education and health, violence, repression, and impunity from a dictatorial government and regime, the Malian masses have taken to the streets, responding to the call for civil disobedience made by the opposition movement "June 5" - meeting of patriotic forces led by a clergy, Imam Mahmoud Dicko. On this occasion, the stores in the capital were closed, public and private services were suspended, that is there was a partial paralysis in the capital.
But this is not new, because the exploited have been fighting since 2019. In March that year, there was a large massacre in the town of Ogassagou due to a dispute over land between two ethnic groups, where armed militias of the Dogon without identification devastated the Peul community, burning the huts with the inhabitants inside. This terrible event pushed 10,000 Malians to the streets of the capital, shouting “Ogassagou never again! Too much is too much!" They protested, holding the government responsible for the massacre. Their banners expressed their hatred against the French and UN troops. “Barkane (French subsahelial strategic mission sending its troops to Mali, NT) and Minusma (UN Mission in Mali, NT), go home”, “teachers, doctors and railway workers on strike, but IBK doesn't care! Oh security, IBK go! "
To the killings that are common among different ethnic groups with armed militias without identification attacks are added carried out by French and UN forces with the excuse of confronting "terrorists" from branches of Al Qaeda that operate in this decimated Central African country since 2012.
Corruption is also at the center of the scene: the last legislative elections that took place on March 29 and April 19, as expected, were fraudulent, manipulated by President Keita.
For this reason, on June 11, the opposition led by Imam Dicko, who has been riding on the hatred of the people, called for civil disobedience. The Malian exploited masses did not miss the appointment and took to the streets of Bamako, occupying Parliament and the headquarters of a radio station. There was a great mobilization considered historic in Mali, which was harshly repressed, where about 20 protesters were killed and 124 injured. The clashes continued for two days.
Faced with such a demonstration by the Malian masses and the situation of instability, the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) became a mediator and presented a proposal for a unity government and the immediate resignation of 31 deputies to hold partial elections, and the creation of an investigative commission on the deaths of protesters in the demonstrations.
But nothing good will come from the hand of ECOWAS or the clergy for the exploited in Mali. They will not solve hunger or unemployment, nor will they give the land to those who work it. These demands will only be resolved by the working people and the exploited masses by putting up the power of those below, making reality what they shout in the streets: OUT WITH IBK AND THE ENTIRE REGIME!
We must disarm the police, the repressive forces of this infamous regime and its paramilitary gangs! Dissolution of the army officer caste!
For the generalized armament of the rebellious masses! Committees of soldiers, workers and exploited!
French imperialism is the great looter of Mali and of different countries in Africa from which it extracts resources and wealth for its transnationals. France is which imposes the puppet governments that serve to protect its interests.
Get France out of Africa! Expropriation of the transnationals, the goods and the wealth of the French and US imperialism that loot in Mali! Expropriation without compensation and under workers' control of the banks that rob of the Malian people!
OUT OF MALI, FRENCH AND UN INVADING TROOPS!
Out with the US imperialist AFRICOM and all the imperialist military bases on the continent!
No to the deception of a government of national unity, which only serves to save the regime and prevent the exploited from taking power. For a revolutionary National Constituent Assembly with one elected deputy for every 10,000 inhabitants, recallable at any time. Assembly that functions with a single chamber that assumes legislative, executive and judicial power, based on a sovereign assembly and the poor people's militias.
Only a provisional revolutionary workers and peasants' government, based on the self-determination organizations of the masses in struggle, will be able to guarantee these minimum and immediate measures so that the people can eat.
The poor people and the exploited masses of Mali have as their allies their Lebanese brothers and sisters, who are also rising up against their regime, government and against French imperialism.
And in France they also have their greatest allies: the Black Vests, the undocumented people, the immigrants from sub-Saharan Africa and the Algerian, Sudanese and Middle Eastern workers, who work as slaves in French transnationals and today are up in the fight. Also the whole of the French working class that face the Fifth imperialist Republic in their own home together with the Yellow Vests.
The French working class and exploited have the key to liberate their brothers and sisters from plunder and oppression in Mali, Lebanon and all the French colonies and semicolonies. It is necessary to stop the war machine of French imperialism! "A people that oppresses another, will not be able to liberate itself!"
LONG LIVE THE STRUGGLE OF THE MALIEN WORKING CLASS AND EXPLOITED MASSES! FOR THE VICTORY OF THE INSURRECTION IN LEBANON!
