Declaration of the WIL - International Workers League - Zimbabwe July 24th, 2015 The chief of the supreme court of Justice ruled the possibility of terminating the labour contracts without compensation Enough is Enough! General strike now! Workers are now at the mercy of employers after the Supreme Court ruled last Friday that companies can lawfully terminate their contracts at any time without offering them packages, provided they are given at least three months notice. Termination of contract on notice becomes the cheaper way of firing workers for firms as they do not have to give any explanation or conduct disciplinary hearings, let alone follow the expensive retrenchment route. Now the government has passed the law and now since monday companies they are dismissing workers without benefits. Enough is Enough! The attack hasn't started now. It has already started with factory closures, not paying salaries as the railway workers, the workers of Gweru, the health workers... and now, they massively retrench us and take away our work. General strike now! Emergency workers plan! The bosses and the transnational companies steal our wealth... we need to take what is ours! Expropriate the expropriators! State-ization without compensation and place under workers control all the mines and any factory that closes, suspends or retrenches! Workers International League-FLTI
