MALI
Sustained by the social-patriot left of the Stalinism and renegades of trotskyism who prevented working class from confronting the colonial adventure of the pirates from the V Republic
Based on a pact with the tuareg bourgeoisie that sold out like bargaining chip their own people
By the French colonialist invasion in Mali, the butcher Hollande imposed a new counterrevolutionary blow against the world exploited
For the military defeat and expulsion of the French troops of Mali and the whole Africa!
Out the US AFRICOM and all the imperialist military bases of the continent!
Break the fence against the Syrian masses and the revolutionary fight of the North of Africa and Middle East!
Let’s smash Al-Assad in Syria to destroy the Zionist-fascist State of Israel!
to untie the hands of the working class in France and Europe: defeat the union bureaucracy and all the social-imperialist currents of the labor aristocracy
“Let’s make Paris every night a Bagdad, a Homs, a Damascus, and an Azawad”
The war cry of the Asturias mineworkers must be heard again “if it is not solved, war war war! And the “Republic of the indignados” must stand up again in Plaza del Sol in Madrid!
Over a month and a half has past since the beginning of the invasion of the V Republic to Mali. The military objectives of the “Operation Serval” seem to be fulfilled: the resistance of the tuareg nation in the North of Mali has been swept away in the main cities. Gao has been left as scorched earth, Timbouctú has fallen down, and in the fourth week of the French offensive with the support of 1500 soldiers taken from Chad-from the military bases located in that country- assaulted the last refuge of the resistance in Kidal. On Thursday, February 7, Tessalit fell down too, the city located in the Northern Azawad (North of Mali). The imperialist pirates of the V Republic have spared no efforts to the colonial offensive: air raids, heavy artillery, tanks and more than 4000 men of troops deployed. Even, the lackey army of Mali together with paramilitary gangs supported the “Foreign Legion”. Even, today, the air raids keep attacking over the mountainous zone of Aguelhok e Ifhogas in the border with Algeria.
The authentic massacre of the French army caused destruction, death, torture, and humiliations and the forced oust of nearly 500.000 inhabitants. As a proof it is the common graves of the anti-imperialist fighters tortured and massacred in the city Sevarè.
But the French general staff wants to present this action as it would be a crusade of the “civilization” against the “barbarism of the extreme Islamic”. To reinforce this symbolic question, last Saturday 2-2 in the old Timbouctú, the very François Hollande, president of France, introduced himself as “the liberator” of Mali. He claimed the victory and swore chase the rebels before a staged auditorium that played the drums that supposedly “the sharia imposed by the Islamic extremists had banned”
The “socialist liberator” is in fact a true butcher of the exploited that smash mercilessly a nation. Mali is left, thus, as a protectorate of the occupation troops of the French V Republic, under the colonial puppet government of the military-men who led a coup, Diaoukunda Traouré.
With this colonial invasion, the French imperialist V Republic has given a hard counterrevolutionary blow against the world exploited. It gets deepen the world imperialist offensive for masses to pay for the costs of the world economic crisis. The pirates of the French V Republic by bombing have initiated a new colonial offensive as they haven´t done since the war in Algeria during the 60s where they massacred 2 millions of exploited and inaugurated the school of torture that trained the genocidal dictatorships of Africa, Latin America and Asia in the ‘70s.
But it is not yet clear that Hollande and the imperialist pirates can settle down their victory. The Mali army is in crisis for the internal fights since the caste of officers gets divided with the officers of tuareg origin sustaining the control of Azawad (North of Mali) on the part of the tuareg bourgeoisie who sought to dispute to take a major share from the business. Even, in Bamako (capital of Mali) a military regiment of paratroopers rejected an order and exchanged shoots with another sector of the Mali army during the week of the invasion.
The occupation French troops cannot maintain their military victory without settling a strong state. The plan of the imperialist French bourgeoisie is that the CEDEAO armies (Economic Community of West African States-ECOWAS) occupy Mali through the “humanitarian” mission called MISMA approved by UN (International Support Mission to Mali, TN). If it can be fulfilled, France “would withdraw” of Mali in March despite Hollande already signed he will withdraw “when it is necessary”. But since December these organisms moves slowly via the diplomatic and bureaucratic channels. The French bourgeoisie behind Hollande and his army marks territory and acts quickly. It is showed with the arrival of the lackey troops of the Chad army that doesn’t belong to CEDEAO.
From this point of view, the political aims are still far from getting fulfilled. In the city Gao, the upheavals are taking place again with the resistance re-emerged from the ashes. Despite the youth’s blood shed on the African land, the resistance hasn’t surrendered. On Tuesday February 22, in the mountainous zone bordering Algeria, 30 lackey soldiers from Chad fell down in combat. It shows the hate of workers and poor peasants against the imperialist invaders.
As Trotsky stated: “In the defeated countries the position of the masses will immediately become worsened in the extreme. Added to social oppression is national oppression, the main burden of which is likewise borne by the workers. Of all the forms of dictatorship, the totalitarian dictatorship of a foreign conqueror is the most intolerable. At the same time, to the extent that the Nazis will try to utilize the natural resources and the industrial machinery of the nations defeated by them, the Nazis will themselves become inevitably dependent upon the native peasants and workers. Only after the victory do economic difficulties always begin. It is impossible to attach a soldier with a rifle to each Polish, Norwegian, Danish, Dutch, Belgian, French worker and peasant. (…)” (“We don´t change our Course” 6/30/1940
The counterrevolutionary troops of the butcher Hollande haven’t achieved yet to establish a strong and legitimized state, that is, a stable one able to reconstitute a counterrevolutionary imperialism’s device in the region to control the pillage of wealth and super -exploitation of masses.
More and more it is getting unmasked that this war is not a “crusade for the civilization” but a war for “the routes of uranium”. France depends on the foreign uranium to supply his nuclear stations, mainly, for the energy consumed by this country. “Chase the rebels” for Hollande means to prevent that the sub-Saharan region not to become unstable and that the fight of the Tuareg nation for conquering his own territory not get extended and developed all around Niger. This country shares 840 km of the Mali border and has more than 1,5 millions of inhabitants of Tuareg origin. Niger is the fourth producer of uranium in the world, and France imports from that country between 30 and 40% of the uranium this country consumes.
Hollande with the excuse to prevent what happened in January in the gas plan In Amenas located in Algeria-taken/occupied in solidarity with the Mali resistance- has sent from 1/24 a “special force” to guard the mine of uranium Arlit in Niger. Recently, in the first week of February, the president puppet of Niger recognized that the French troops are in the country. In this way the Operation Serval, named as a small feline of the region whose characteristic is to “mark territory” with urine, keeps its course marking the zones of influence in the planet of the TNCs defended by the bayonets of the V Republic.
For the imperialist French bourgeoisie, his former colonies of the West Africa with which maintain many economic, political and military ties are considered an extension of his domain. All the distribution of electricity and telephony is under the control of the French TNCs. In recent oil explorations are the Totalfina interests. In the uranium mines “through his gigantic multinational Areva of which the state has the 80%, France exploits the two main mines of Niger. In Arlit it has the 63%; in Akonan has the 34% and in Imouraren that hasn’t still started, has the 56%” (El País, 2/5/2013
In the midst of the economic world crisis, the French imperialist bourgeoisie wants to make his role weight, i.e., his role of major military and nuclear power of the Continental Europe. The pirates of the V Republic don’t accept to be treated as Greece, Spain, or Portugal in disgrace and submitted to the leonine loans of the yuppies of Wall Street and IMF, and to the desires of the imperialist Germany led by the Bundesbank.
From the beginning of “THE” world economic crisis, there overabundance of imperialist powers in the planet, and some of them already are resulting to be the losers in this crisis. The imperialist France wants to be neither the loser nor vassal in this crisis and by his military adventures is marking his zones of influence in the planet.
The imperialist France in Mali commanded by Hollande, indeed, has broken the imperialist European Union of the Maastricht’s agreements. Without the approval of the EU, or UN, or NATO, France launched a warlike adventure. In this way, the European Union is shaking and begins to explode.
The French offensive, for the moment, is allowed by US and Great Britain behind the scenes, they supply logistic support for the occupation troops. Thus, on one side, they continue plundering the minerals with their own transnationals. And on the other side, they prevent a “new Iraq”. Only after France devastated the North of Mali, the officials of the European Union under the German command, would collaborate in the re-building of the Mali army by sending 500 officers for training for next April. It means, after the invasion they seek to “bite” business.
In Mali a new counterrevolutionary blow together with the white terror of the massacre carried out by Al Assad in Syria fence the revolution in the North of Africa and Middle East
The counterrevolutionary blow in Mali with the French imperialist troop’s invasion has set a limit over the North Africa and Middle East revolution. By this new massacre against exploited, the imperialism prevent the revolution from continuing to the south and getting extended all around the African continent. This question had his highest expression in the general strike in Nigeria at the end of 2011 through the slogan raised by masses: “Out Jonathan or you’ll die like Gaddafi”, as well as in the heroic strike of Marikana miners in South Africa who confronted the same TNCs plundering the region, his war cry was: “R12500 or we’ll kill the managers”.
By the massacre of Al Assad in Syria on account of imperialism, the imperialist pirates and Arab bourgeoisie of the region seek to put a limit over revolution. Meanwhile, by the parliamentary diversions, the electoral traps, the fake constituent assemblies, and referendums, they try to make the Tunisian, Libyan, and Egyptian masses numb.
For the failure of the Operation Pilar Defensivo of the genocidal Zionism that want to sweep out Gaza from the map, due to the great respond of the exploited in the region, the agreement between Al Fatah and Hamas to sustain the fabrication of the UN, that is, “the Palestinian state” and save the Zionist fascist state of Israel have taken out Palestinian masses of the stage for the time being. But the rebel exploited from occupied Palestine again rise up fighting for the freedom of the political prisoners.
The Zionist state is in crisis and cannot play his role of gendarme because it would be more fuel over the fire of revolution.
The French invasion in Mali also has the aim to help to stabilize and impose new counterrevolutionary devices in the region that guarantee the pillage, since these devises were left badly damaged due to the falling down of Ben Ali, Mubarak, and Gaddafi. France runs for gendarme in the region to smash the revolution since the US imperialism just suffered the setting of fire of dozens of his embassies in the region, and neither wants to be involved in a new military operation that can cause problems like in Afghanistan and Iraq. Thus, US allows France to “do the dirty work” by occupying nations and in the name of the “democracy” to be in position to smash the revolution.
The government of Tunisia based on the invasion to Mali launched a fascist putsch on the left wing of the working class to try to advance into the defeat of revolution. But it met the mass general strike; masses won the streets again and put the bourgeoisie before a new crisis; that bourgeoisie that get divided around how smash masses better.
In Egypt, the masses confront openly Mursi and the Muslim Brotherhood, even setting on fire the offices of the government’s political party. In Libya, the militias don’t give up weapons and start to confront the LNC. The revolution has dug in those countries and present battle showing that the last word is not still said.
But the union bureaucracy and social imperialist currents have tied the hands of the European working class, and submitted them to brutal attacks on the part of their own imperialist bourgeoisies. It only makes stronger the fence imposed on the Syrian masses left at the mercy of a cruel massacre of Al Assad while they are accused by Stalinism and renegades of Trotskyism of being “agents of imperialism” as well as the militias are accused of being “ground NATO’s troops”
Why did Hollande have the hands free to carry on the warfare adventure that slaugthered the exploited masses of the North of Mali?
What allowed Hollande and the 5th Republic pirates to have the hands free to attack and slaughter was the social-patriotic policy held by the union bureaucracies and the reformist left currents of the entire Europe, in the first place inside France itself.
The policy of the union bureaucracy and the reformist left currents of fighting for a “more social Europe” has only served to tie the hands of the working class and kneel it to the brutal attacks to their conquests. The result of this policy is paid today with new colonialist offensives over the exploited, as the invasion to Mali, with a greater looting by the transnational companies of the colonial and semi colonial world, and with the imperialist bourgeoisies unleashing the crisis over the backs of the working class of the entire Europe.
In this way the reactionary policy of the English workers bureaucracy and aristocracy of “English work for the English” was imposed. With this policy, each time the European exploited loose more and more conquests, and live under the same suffering that their class brothers of the semi colonial world: more than 27 million workers are unemployed in the continent, the workers from the Spanish State and Italy are eating from the trash, the Greek workers are suffering the onslaught of the fascism, and the immigrant workers are deported, drown in the Mediterranean or confined to concentration camps as the island of Lampedusa.
It was the Syriza policy in Greece, supported by the entire world left, that kneelt the working class of this country to the polls, trumpeting the “pacific ways to the socialism”, and that way kneeling the Greek working class to the bourgeoisie, stopping that the revolution is opened in the continent. Today it is the fascism of the “Golden Dawn” Party the one that stands up beating the immigrant workers and militant youth, while the Greek working class is watering down in innumerable actions.
If Hollande and the French 5th Republic troops could leave scorched earth in the North of Mali was because not even a single voice has been spoke up in Paris streets calling to defeat the warmonger adventures of the French imperialist bourgeoisie, in the moments that it is launched a brutal attack over the backs of the workers with thousands of layoffs. If the imperialist pirates advance and the working class don’t stop it, what it is before us are new slaughters and genocides, even fratricide wars as the ones of Ruanda and the CDR (6 million of deaths), for the transnational companies to remain with the natural resources and keep looting the African continent.
The Tuareg bourgeoisie and the MNLA hand over as change coins their own people, and collaborated with the imperialist troops of the 5th Republic
If the resistance to the North of Mali invader wasn’t superior was because from day one the native Tuareg bourgeoisie and the MNLA (its main political party) preferred to hand over the exploited from their own people to the French murderous troops. The MNLA and other parties of the Tuareg bourgeoisie never where for the right of the national self-determination of the Tuareg people, that is, to form their own state, with their own language and culture. This matter carries to face the imperialism that was the one that drew in fictional ways the frontiers in the Sahel (Sub-Saharan Africa) at the end of World War 2, and prevent new nations to arise. Even more today, at the heat of the world economic crisis, it can’t even allow the native bourgeoisies to bargain a slice of the business of the looting of transnational companies.
The Tuareg bourgeoisie for years was part of the regimes and governments of the region rapacious bourgeoisie controlling the slave routes to Europe. This commercial smuggler bourgeoisie had lost a great sector of their business (market) when Libyan Gaddafi's dictatorship fell at the hands of the revolutionary masses. The Tuareg bourgeoisie participated in this way of the Khadafy " Council of Tribes ".
Since then, it sought to bargain a part of the business in the Azawad (northern Mali) by manipulating the national feeling of the masses, arming themselves and disputing territory, claiming autonomy rights to collect taxes, and so to keep a slice of the business of the looting of gold and uranium.
When the French imperialism invaded, the MNLA took the same program as the French troops, and decided to collaborate with them in the "fight against Islamic terrorism" and so they ended up exposing the resistance of the Tuareg nation and guiding the general of Serval Operation through the desert. As jail keepers of their own people, the MNLA militias patrol the streets of Kidal with the French occupation troops, and lackey infantry brought from Chad. All any native bourgeoisie, they preferred the defeat of their own people rather than confront agaisnt imperialism, since for doing that, it is necessary to attack the property of the transnationals, and in this struggle the working class and the exploited sooner or later they end up also attacking the property of the native bourgeoisie. That is why the native bourgeoisies, tied by a thousands of threads and businesses with imperialism, fear like the plague to the proletarian revolution and are always willing to give its own people as change in their circumstantial dispute with imperialism. The Tuareg bourgeoisie which manipulated the national feelings of the masses that live in Azawad (northern Mali) and other neighboring countries, can never solve the problem of the Tuareg nation-ethnic.
The right to national self-determination of the Tuareg people remains an engine of the anti-imperialist struggle in the region, as labyrinthine way it expresses the class struggle. This fight can not be left at the hands of petty Islamic leadership who are also always willing to compromise with imperialism and will not resolve the issue of Tuareg nation.
What is needed to confront the French invasion troops is a proletarian leadership of the war in a military front with all the forces which fight agaisnt the invader, this leadership should stand up the struggle for the right of the self-determination nation of the Tuareg people, ie to form their own state, even the Azawad secession in regards of Mali, whether the masses want to do so, so that from there it can organize all the Tuareg exploited of Algeria, Libya, Burkina Faso and Niger to fight agsint imperialism. Only a proletarian leadership of the war, boldly taking this democratic demand will ensure the unity of the working class throughout the region with their Tuareg class brothers in the struggle against the invader, and also it will rise up to the working class of France to stop the war machine.
A proletarian leadership of the war to expropriate without compensation and under workers control the imperialist transnational companies which plunder the region, and fight for the general arming of the workers and poor peasants. For doing this, it is necessary to call the Sahel exploited ones to stand up agaisnt imperialism and the Algerian masses who were the spark, together with the Tunisian working class that started the revolution in North Africa to fight to tear down the dictatorship of Bouteflika servant of the French and the imperialism. A proletarian leadership of the war to call the exploited fight in a single revolution with the working class in North Africa and the Middle East, and fight as miners of Lonmin of Marikana in South Africa who fight agaisnt the same companies.
The only way to fully democratically and legitimate resolve the national aspirations of the Tuareg ethnic and all the oppressed peoples of the continent is placing all natural wealth and created by the labor of the workers and peasants at the service of the needs of the exploited , and for that the working class leading poor masses must fight to set up their own power smashing imperialism and the bourgeoisie, and fight for the United Socialist States of Africa under worker and peasant governments which masses must be self-organized and armed.
Fundamentally it is about to uprise the French working class, the entire Europe and all the imperialist powers to stop the war machine and guarantee all the help of medicine, food and weapons for the exploited to resist the occupation in Mali. An anti-imperialist movement lile the 60/70s during the Vietnam War is what the imperialist pirates of the 5th Republic deserve.
In order to untie the hands fo the French working class and the entire Europe and fight agaisnt the colonial adventures of the imperialist bourgoisie, it is necessaty to defeat the union bureucracy and the social-imperialist currents of the labour aristocracy
“Let´s make Paris into a Baghdad, a Homs, a Damascus and an Azawad everynight”
Since the world economic crisis began in 2007-08, there were fights and hard struggles of the working class in Europe. In 2009, 20 years after the capitalist restoration, the masses of Eastern Europe faced IMF cut budgets, since 2008 the working class and the Greek youth made a thousands and one attempts to demolish the power citadel, carrying out more than 25 general strikes, in 2011 the exploited ones of the Spanish state uprose, setting up the "Indignados (outraged) Republic" at Plaza del Sol in Madrid fighting against the Bourbon monarchy, the struggle of the Renault workers in Romania, factory occupation in France in 2009, protests, strikes and revolts of the worker youth as Tottenham were part of the continent. Even in mid-2012 the miners of Asturias uprose at their war cry of: “If this is not fixed, war, war, war". And now the masses of Eastern Europe in Bulgaria stand up again.
But these battles were desynchronized, diverted, content and hamstrung by the union bureaucracies of the continent and by the social-imperialist currents who imposed their program to "make easier th cuts".
With these leaderships, the working class was theor hands tied, and they can not even fight. The working class needs new general staff to lead their fight the attack of the the imperialist pirates and prepare the counter offensive, so they are the ones to pay for the crisis. They need a revolutionary leadership so the worker youth, the inmigrants and all the working class of the cités of Paris, France and across Europe can uprise again to confront the colonialist invasion with the General Strike and with the warcry of "Let make Paris into a Baghdad, a Homs, a Damascus and an Azawad" For the military defeat and expulsion of the French troops in Mali and throughout Africa! Out with the US AFRICOM and all the imperialist military bases on the continent!
It is necessary to break the siege of the Syrian masses and the revolutionary masses of North Africa and Middle East! Smash Al Assad to destroy the Zionist fascist state of Israel!
It is necessary to make to thunder again in the streets the warcry of Asturias miners "if this does not fix war, war, war!" Continental General Strike! We must stop the French war machine and guarantee all the help of medicine, food and weapons for the exploited ones that are resisting the invasion in Mali!
Against the social chouvinism of Stalisnim and the renegades of Trotskyism
For the refoundation of the 4th Internationa under its program the Congress of 1938!
In orde to untie the hands of the working class, it is necessary to regroup and centralize the left wing of the world proletariat, to mark clearly who are the allies and who are the enemies of the exploited ones. It is necessary a general staff that fights against the capitalist restoration in Cuba, led by Obama and Castro the CP of the new rich of the island. This has to fight to expose all currents that support Chavez and the Bolivarian politician, who ended up calling the US working class, mainly the black people and the latin american people to vote for the butcher Obama, in the last US election. Meanwhile it was imposed the most brutal plundering throughout Latin America. This leadership has to fight agaisnt Stalinism and the renegades of Trotskyism who slander the Syrian masses and support the bayonets of Al Assad, the butcher of imperialism in Syria.
It is about to set up a general staff to fight for the worker and socialist revolution in North Africa and the Middle East success and gets into the imperialist Europe, for the uprising of European, US and Japanese working class, and to paralyze the imperialist war machine, and stand up again the "Million workers March” against the war within the US beast. A general Staff to prepare a counteroffensive of the exploited to fight for the World Socialist Revolution. This is the general staff is the World Party of the Revolution, the Fourth International refounded under its 1938 program. To this task we have put all our forces the principled Trotskyists of the International Leninist Trotskyist Fraction (FLTI).
