PRONOUNCEMENT
FROM THE MIXED UNION OF MINEWORKERS OF HUANUNI
(Sindicato Mixto de Trabajadores Mineros de Huanuni)

 

On the unjustified massive retrenchments in “RIO TURBIO” Carbon Shaft made by the president of our sister republic Argentina, the Mixed Union of Mineworkers of Huanuni:

RESOLVES:

FIRST: We won’t let the dismissal of our class fellows, the miners of “RIO TURBIO” Carbon Shaft, where the government of president Macri fired more than 400 workers, leaving 400 families in the streets and without a stable job.

SECOND: We support morally and resolutely our class fellows, the miners of “RIO TURBIO” (Argentina) Carbon Shaft, as their labour rights were abused.

THIRD: The mineworkers of Huanuni reserve ourselves the right to take the correspondent action if we are not heard in our request.

This is resolved by a meeting of leaders and delegates of the Mixed Union of Mineworkers of Huanuni, in day 9th of the month of May of 2018.
