THE BATTLE OF CHILE UP TO DATE
Monday - October 28th, 2019
The working and student youth occupies Santiago!
After the massive demonstration held on October 25th, when over a million people protested in Santiago and hundreds of thousands did the same all over the country, today the star was the rebel youth in the capital who literally occupied Plaza Italia and the entire Alameda Ave., struggling to reach the gates of La Moneda Palace.
The government, the boss politicians of this infamous regime and the bourgeois media stated that everything would go back to “normality” after Piñera’s speech announcing changes of Ministers, the end of the state of emergency and the curfew. The spokespeople of the bourgeois power hoped that “their” normality would return, the one othat means hell for workers and the exploited.
But once again, they had to face massive demonstrations all over the country; once again, thousands took to the streets, with the youth as a vanguard, heading the barricades and the clashes against the murderous pacos.
The youth unleashes their rightful hate and revolutionary fury against the Pinochetist regime and the murderous government. They are doomed to a life without future and without rights by this rotten imperialist capitalist system. But showing their willingness to struggle, the youth fight for everything because they do not accept that this situation continues for one more minute. It is not by chance that the youth was the spark that set on fire the Chile of those from below which has awaken with secondary school students organizing and leading the dodging to pay underground tickets against the hike applied on the fare by the government.
In the opposite side there are the old leaders of the “Red pacos” of the “J”, i.e. the Communist Youth, and the Frente Amplio (Wide Front, TN). They are sitting far from the barricades, on their comfortable seats on the Parliament from where they try to throw water to put out the revolutionary fire in order to save the 1980s’ Constitution regime.
They will not succeed; because we, the Chilean students and youth, have the same blood and the same struggle against imperialism as the 43 Students disappeared in Ayotzinapa (Mexico). We are the Greek rebel youth, imprisoned in the dungeons of that infamous regime. We are the heroic Syrian resistance against genocidal al-Assad, Putin and Trump. We are the rebel youth of Hong Kong. Open the road to the revolutionary rebel youth! |
