THE BATTLE OF CHILE UP TO DATE

The people in the streets struggle to win over the army base, which are the children of workers and poor peasants
With their fighting, the exploited masses continue to bravely face repression and the state of emergency and defy curfew. While the government and the leadership of the armed forces have militarized Santiago and entire areas of the country with more than 9,000 troops, seeking to blood Chile, in towns such as Viña del Mar, Talca and Antofagasta sectors of the privates are beginning to refuse to shoot the people. Throughout the country, workers, students, rebellious youth, ruined middle classes and those exploited in their barricades collide with the murderous “pacos” (militarized police). It is about the struggle of the masses to defeat and crush the repressive forces of the murderous state.
It is necessary to set up the self-defense committees and build a powerful workers and peasant militia to end the infamous civic-military regime of employers' politicians and Pinochetist generals, it is the task of the moment. This is the way to win the base of the Armed Forces and that the committees of private soldiers emerge that disobey the genocidal officers and go with their weapons to fight alongside the working class and the people.
The revolution must take a new leap and go up one more step. The masses continue to put their will, flesh and soul in the combat. Millions are not leaving the streets. Now, after a week of struggle, the traitorous trade union bureaucracies of the CUT and company have "called" the General Strike. How farcical! The country has been standing in a de facto general strike for days. There is no sector of the labor movement, the rebel youth and the exploited masses that are not fighting. And for days, Chile has been filled with blood by the pacos and the murderous army.
The masses did not wait for the leaders hanging on the skirts of the bourgeoisie to revolt against the government of Piñera, against the regime of the Constitution of '80, against imperialism and the slavery bosses. They did not wait for them here, neither in Haiti, nor in Honduras, nor in Uruguay, much less in Ecuador where they began a vigorous insurrection.
The reformist leaderships only seek to ride on the fight to contain it and take the masses to pacts with their executioners. They won’t be able to. The establishment of the above come for everything, but the exploited are going for them and on that way they will also be able to settle accounts with the traitors inside their own ranks. |

While the masses continue to leave everything in combat, the unionist and student collaborationist bureaucracy together with the PC and the Frente Amplio try to bring the revolutionary struggle to the feet of the institutions of the civic-military regime
The leadership of the CUT together with that of the Association of Teachers, of the ANEF, of the NO + AFP Coordinator, of CONFUSAM, of CONES and other components of the so-called “Social Unit”, in the hands of the Chilean Communist Party and the Frente Amplio (Broad Front), seeing that the masses are still in the streets, they were obliged to announce a new day of General Strike and national strike tomorrow. Overcome by the revolutionary struggle, they have no choice but to make a new call to try to control the mass movement, which they clearly do not represent. But the general strike conquered by the working class and the exploited is already one week old! These leaderships, until two days ago, were on their knees imploring the government to "restore the country's democratic institutions," and depose the state of emergency to "initiate a social and political dialogue."
Today they have called “open citizen councils” in different communes of their country, together with councilors of their parties, with the motto of “building together the new social pact”… to save the Pinochetist regime.
They come to pour water on the revolutionary fire that is setting Chile of the above on fire, that of corrupt employers' politicians, whether from the right or the Concertacion, that of the bourgeoisie, bankers and transnationals, that of Pinochetist generals and officials, the one of all of them who did not cease of subjecting the masses to the worst conditions of hunger, misery and slavery.
The trade union bureaucracies only try to ride on the people’s movement to try to contain our struggle and hand out to the exploiters everything that the masses are conquering in the streets, either at negotiating tables in the Palacio de la Moneda (house of government) or in that den of bandits of the Parliament.
We do not forget that this scam of "social pacts" and "social and political dialogue" is what they already imposed in the previous government of the Bachelet, the pro-coup DC and the "red pacos" of the CCP. With the farce of the “dialogue tables” they only sought to expropriate the combat of 2011-2013 when the “reforms” in Parliament, far from granting something to the exploited, were true anti-labor laws with which they advanced in applying the worst plans of hunger, slavery and imperialist plunder, which the Piñera government came to deepen.
These treacherous union bureaucrats did not call on the workers and the exploited to revolt against the government and regime servants of imperialism. They are not on the barricades, facing the murderous pacos or the genocidal army in the streets. They are the ones who for years have been selling out every fight that the labor movement, the combative students and the exploited have waged, in order to save this Pinochetist regime. They do not represent us! Enough of collaborationist bureaucracy!
Meanwhile, the deputies of the CCP and the Frente Amplio, headed by the Vallejo, the Kariola, the Boric and the Jackson, have no problem sitting in Parliament with the right-wing politicians and the Concertacion ones to "legislate" ... while the state of emergency continues and the soldiers are on the streets. We must even bear that they celebrate the "general approval of the 40-hour project" ... They celebrated in that den of bandits of the Parliament with the bosses’ politicians who have their hands stained with workers' and people's blood, while the masses continue to leave their dead and injured in the streets. Scoundrels! They want to sell us as a victory a mere "reform" of the Pinochet Labor Code - which the Senate still has to discuss and while Piñera is going to send his project to impose even greater labor flexibility - as if the reduction could be achieved of the working day without breaking down that infamous labor code and without attacking the propriety of the capitalists who make juicy profits based on the super-exploitation of the working class. All they want is to wash that Parliament's face to paint it as a friend of the same people that is fighting the whole of the Pinochetist regime and its institutions.
This left of the infamous regime has just had its maximum expression in the sayings of Camila Vallejo of the CCP who today stated that "it is not about going against the government, we are not against the government." A true confession of party of what everyone already knows. La Vallejo and all the “red pacos” of the CCP are the ones that already saved the Piñera government in 2011, betraying and selling out the enormous struggle of the labor and student movement, and today they juggle to try to contain the revolt of those below. Clearly, the masses ignore them and have put the fight for "Get out Piñera!" as the central demand of their mobilizations.
The reformist leaders seek by all means to set up a thousand and one traps so that the Chilean revolution that is standing up, sister of the revolutionary combats in Ecuador, Honduras, Haiti, Puerto Rico, Iraq, Catalonia, Lebanon and the United States, and the heroic Syrian resistance, will not succeed
Neither Piñera nor the Concertacion! All of them must leave for good!
Let there be no stone left of this anti-worker government, a lackey of imperialism, and of the damned civic-military regime of Pinochet and its genocidal armed forces!
We do not want the "social agenda" of Piñera, which only means subsidies for employers and corporations, nor do we comply with small alms laws!
Those above took everything away from us ... The ones below are going for all of them to recover what is ours!
Our minimum demand is: Out with imperialism! Copper for Chileans!
Renationalization without compensation and under workers control of all mining and natural resources! Down with the Copper Reserved Law! There is the money for decent wages and pensions, for free education, health, transportation and light for the people!
Open the way to the revolutionary Chile of the workers and peasants! |
