Chile - October 19th 2019 Statement of the Internationalist Workers’ Party – Fourth International (POI-CI) of Chile, adherent to the FLTI   Mass revolutionary uprising in Chile Let the fighting in the streets not stop! Let’s paralyze the entire country! We need to go all the way setting the Chile of the above on fire so that no institution of domination of the bourgeoisie and imperialism remains! Down with Piñera! Down with the Pinochetist civic-military regime of the 1980 Constitution with their Wall Street-lackey politicians, their liars of the Concertation, their “red cops” of the CP, their murderous police and their Pinochetist generals Dissolve the murderous genocidal officers caste, servant of the US! Down with the “state of emergency” and the curfew!   Facing the Piñera government, the Pinochetist civic-military regime of the Right-wing, the Concertation and the CP and the imperialist transnationals, the masses took to the streets against the brutal attack that they have been suffering under the command of Trump and USA. There’s a rise in the prices of Metro tickets plus the hikes in fees, miserable wages and pensions, unemployment, slavery and labour flexibility, crackdown and persecution to those fighting against these dire conditions, the high cost of living, the subjugation to imperialism with the FTA, the plundering of the nation that can’t be beared anymore. A huge revolutionary general strike is underway, with mass actions, fighting in barricades, protests by hitting pans and attacking the private property of the capitalists and the bourgeois state institutions. The masses follow the path of their class brothers and sisters in Ecuador, Haiti, Catalonya, Iraq and Lebanon. In their revolutionary assault, the workers, the militant students and the exploited masses attack all the institutions of power, which are responsible for their unprecedented sufferings. That’s why they target the Metro Stations and the buses from Transantiago whose tickets are unaffordable. They also target the banks, offices of AFP (Pension Funds Administration) which plunder the wages and the pensions of the people and the electricity company ENEL and its high fees. They target the private schools as they fight against the businessmen and the government that deny public education to the children of the workers. They target the supermarkets and the big stores, with their shopping-cards and usurious loans. They target the reactionary newspaper El Mercurio, voice of the bourgeoisie and the big capital, as well as the 5 star luxurious hotels of the exploiters… They also confront the Pinochetist armed forces, defying the “state of emergency” and the curfew. This fight, which started in Santiago with a call of the high school students to travel without paying tickets against the rise in the Capital’s metro tickets, spread to all the regions of the country quickly. The masses rise from the north to the south in Valparaiso, Concepcion, Osorno, Antofagasta, Valdivia, Calama, Iquique, Coquimbo, La Serena, Chacabuco, etc. Facing the mass revolutionary action, Piñera and the boss politicians of the regime deployed the genocidal military to the streets and called for an extraordinary session of the bogus parliament to repeal the law of the increase in the Metro ticket. This way, they try to drive the masses out of the streets and uphold the government so it can keep attacking with guns and starving the people, on behalf of imperialism. The CP and the Broad Front are enlisted to legitimize this scam against the people in the den of bandits that the Congress is. Down with the traps of the Pinochetist parliament and its lackey parties! No negotiation behind the people’s back!   Everybody out! May the ports, mines, factories and all workplaces stop! Occupy the universities and schools! Let the poor peasants of Mapuche-ethnicity take over their lands! Open the road for the slave’s insurrection in Chile! The dock workers of Iquique and San Antonio went on strike today while the Dock Workers Union (Union Portuaria) is calling for the national strike in all the ports of the country for Monday October 21st. It is time for the central trade union confederations like CUT and the Central Clasista to break their inaction and put their forces at the service of the struggle of the exploited! Let’s set up the power of those from below! National Congress of workers delegates, militant students, poor peasants and all the exploited masses in struggle together with the rank and file soldier’s committees to discharge the officers caste of the armed forces, murderer of the people   May the Industrial Cordons return! Today, the murderous Pinochetist military walk along the streets of Chile again. The officers caste of the armed forces is preparing to drown the workers and rebel youth in a bloodshed. In the ‘70s, under the command of the ITT and the US imperialism, they crushed the heroic revolution of the Industrial Cordons. Now, we need to defeat the “state of emergency” and the curfew! It’s necessary to dissolve the police and all the repressive forces of the state, set up the self-defense committees to defend ourselves from repression and build up the workers’ and peasant’s militia! The rank and file soldiers must rise and discharge the officers as soon as they hear the first call to shoot against the masses in struggle. Workers’ and people’s courts to judge and punish all the genocidal generals and officers and all the murderers of the workers and people’s martyrs! Free Jones Huala, all the Mapuche prisoners and the more than 400 imprisoned for fighting! Drop all charges on the persecuted fighters!   The ones on the top took us all… now we want to go after all of them to recover what is ours!   Out with imperialism! The copper is for the Chileans! Re-nationalize the entire mining sector withtout compensation and place it under worker’s control! Expropriate all the properties and businesses of the armed forces officers caste withouth compensation and place them under worker’s control! Down with the Copper Reserved Act! Expropriate the transnational companies and banks without compensation and place them under worker’s control! Down with the FTAs! State-ize all the transport and the public services companies without compensation and place them under worker’s control! Free education, health, transportation and electricity for the people! Out with the US military bases from Con Con and the entire Latin America! Revolutionary provisional government of workers and peasants, based on the self-determination organs of the struggling masses! Chile will be socialist or a Wall Street colony! From the revolted Santiago to the Quito of the workers and peasants to the revolutionary uprising in Honduras; from the maquilas in Matamoros to the uprising in Chiapas, Mexico; from the struggle of the students in Colombia to the rebellion of the starved in Haiti; from the struggle of the teachers and state employees in Chubut, Argentina, to the strike of the GM workers in USA; from Sao Paulo to Lima to La Paz to Caracas… One single class, one single revolutionary struggle from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego against Wall Street pirates, the IMF and their lackey governments and regimes! This is the way forward for the return of the Cuba of the workers and peasants of the ‘60s, handed over to imperialism by Castro.
