Chile - October 11, 2020 The following is an interview with Cristian Zenteno, father of Jesús, a young political prisoner who has been in prison for 11 months ¡HE WHO FORGETS THE POLITICAL PRISONERS, IS FORGETTING THE FIGHT!️ Immediate freedom to all political prisoners in Chile and the world! A few days ago, after the end of the “investigation,” the damned Pinochetista justice asked  for  25 years in prison for Jesus, based on a crude and vile frame-up. The government and the regime, in the hand of its prosecutor Álvaro Pérez, seek to intimidate and attack the rebellious youth with this petition for conviction. Those who accuse Jesus today are the same ones who repress and maim us and have left the murderers of yesterday and today alone in the most absolute impunity. They have the nerve to support this accusation with the testimony of such "witnesses" as 31 murderous cops, among which standing out is the damn Lieutenant David Gaete Beltrán, who had fulfilled the function of infiltrating the mobilizations to arrest the fighters. Such a wretched people! El Cordonazo: Hello comrade how is the case of Jesus going on and how is he? Cristian Zenteno: The resolution has just arrived three days ago, the resolution of the prosecution, where these damned are throwing 25 years. They break down as this: 7 years and 6 months for making and launching “Molotov” reiteratedly, that is, it is 15 years plus 10 more years for setting things on fire, which is a farce. This is tremendous news, which shocks you; the truth is that we are all very bad about the news because we did not expect it to continue. Or (we expected) some better news, that it were a lesser (term) , that it  had been flexibilized a bit because we all know that the facts are put according to those that they (the State NdeR) have caused. EC: What do you think about the sentences being given to political prisoners and what do you think about the current situation they are experiencing? CZ: It is very difficult for everyone, for the parents, especially for the boys who are inside (in prison NdeR) for a long time; my son has been in prison for 11 months and there are many who have been there for too long. The situation is difficult for everyone, it has been very hard. I think that the sentences are totally disproportionate, we are talking about 25 years, 20 years, 15 years is too much, the truth is that I believe that this should not have a conviction first of all, but I think they are being cruel, they are doing it with all the claws out and they are stomping their feet over the people so that they continue obeying. E.C .: What message would you give to all the organizations that continue to fight for the freedom of Chilean political prisoners? C.Z: First of all, I congratulate you, second, don't give truce, don't give up, I know you won't. Continue spreading (the news) and fighting for the children, because it is really terrible comrade and I tell you because I am living it in my own flesh as a father, imagine what my son is living, and then it is terrible.
