Call by the Social and Popular Trade Union National Coordinator of Colombia
September 12: Convening of an "International Meeting of all those who fight"
From "The International Workers' Organizer" we reproduce below the call Social and Popular Trade Union National Coordinator of Colombia has sent us to participate on 09/12 in a first convening to organize an "International Meeting of all those who fight". This International Meeting is a motion that the Coordinator launched on 07/25 as a way to "unify and coordinate actions to make the power of the exploited felt against the brutal attack by imperialism and its agents", as stated in the announcement that can be found on their website (http://coordinadoracnssp.org/)
This internationalist appeal has already been sent by the Trade Union, Social and Popular National Coordinator of Colombia to hundreds of workers and struggle organizations throughout the Americas and worldwide.
In a special way, this call was sent to organizations of the black people and the revolted workers of the United States, such as the "Black Lives Matter" movement, the port unions that last 6/19 went on strike and the Wall of Veterans, Fathers and Mothers of Portland, as all of them are our main allies in the fight against imperialism in the heart of the U.S. beast.
It was also sent to the CSP-Conlutas trade union center in Brazil; to the Sindicato Mixto de Trabajadores Mineros de Huanuni (Mixed Union of Mining Workers of Huanuni) and manufacturing workers' unions in Bolivia; also to the “Coordinadora por la Libertad de los Prisioneros Políticos 18 de Octubre” (“Coordinator for the Freedom of Political Prisoners October 18”) and to territorial assemblies in Chile. Combative organizations from Mexico were also invited, such as the dismissed workers from GM, the union of the maquilas of Matamoros and the Coordinadora Nacional de Trabajadores de la Educación (CNTE) (National Coordinator of Education Workers); in Argentina, this call was sent to the union of tire workers (SUTNA), the sections of SUTEBA (the teacher's union from Buenos Aires province) that oppose the Peronist bureacracy; the Haedo Railway Union; ATECH (teacher's union from Chubut province); the workers from Algodonera Avellaneda (a big cotton mill), who are in struggle.
This call is also being sent to organizations in Europe such as the "Black Vests" migrant workers, the "Yellow Vests" and "Solidaires", a French trade union center.
This internationalist call is a step forward that must be taken by all combative organizations on the path of preparing an International Meeting to forge a single and same fight against imperialism, its governments and regimes throughout the world.
One class, one fight! Let’s open the road to militant internationalism! For the working class to live, imperialism must die!
Declaration by the National Union, Social and Popular Coordinator
Solidarity with Workers and Peoples Struggling in the World
Between seven and eight million exploited die a year of hunger and diseases associated with lack of food. They are more than 21,000 a day in the world. Two hundred and sixty million poor people without a nation, as migrants, walk the land looking for a roof, a job, a place to survive, a shelter. They are already true new nomadic peoples. Hondurans, Salvadorans, Guatemalans, Nicaraguans, Venezuelans, Ecuadorians, all disinherited of Latin American nationalities move as outcasts from country to country, seeking for better living conditions. Still others try to break the walls and deceive the murderers, to reach those who has planted them in the yearnings with the lie of the "American dream", the one that hides the mud that swallows the people of the United States and all of North America. It is the same lie that today is collapsing. The North American working class has also been waking up in the struggle against the imperialist scourge and that 1% of the most millionaires, including the Yankees, who treats as slaves those who surrender their work in those territories as well as in the countries they loot. Workers have been thrown into misery by the world crisis of the capitalist monster. it has left more than 46 million in poverty in its own metropolis. They are on the streets without health, without job, without salary, with nothing to pay mortgages and rentals. His response has been to participate in the protest. White workers, AfricanAmericans, immigrants, all ethnic groups have joined the massive popular protest in North America, which went from rejecting fascism of supremacists to address the measures against the workers that have been imposed by the great magnates and bourgeois at the head of Trump, pretending that the workers and the peoples pay for the capitalist crisis. This whole rebellion of blacks and immigrants explodes in response to crimes and murders carried out without shame by the hated racist police.
From North Africa, Yemen, Syria and the entire Middle East, the disinherited are fleeing extermination, dictatorships and foreign wars, fueled by the colonial plundering of natural resources. There are also millions of refugees who are trying to escape the counterrevolutionary massacres that, as in Syria and Palestine, are caused by imperialism and its shame like that generated by Zionism. Hundreds of thousands of children, young people and adults end up at the bottom of the Mediterranean, as many or more than those buried on the southern border of the Rio Bravo.
Nothing is left for the workers and peoples of the world who have not been taken from them: thousands die for want of everything. The effects of coronavirus are paid for by the world's poor. It is not just those recorded in the official statistics of the pandemic, but those who have been denied any right to health, because the criminal intermediaries of private insurers arguing that all medical resources must be at the service of treating the infected, leaving those affected by other diseases multiple and numerous without medical assistance.
Nothing can cover the capitalist barbarism that is being exposed with millions upon millions of modern slaves. They survive in misery, with "calculated" legal wages, which are always imposed far below the minimum family life for all parents. Homeless, huddled in precarious homes - when they have them - they have been delirious and tiring days of work imposed on adults and young people - when they find it - and children who are also subjected and forced to work by the crumbs they try to collect from where they can, to take them to their homes sown in misery.
With a world panorama of capitalist barbarism deepened by the last and most acute period of the cyclical crisis in the history of bourgeois society, the current conditions are for the working masses even more serious and ferocious than those that pushed the world's workers into the great struggle for the 8 hours and other conquests achieved in the resistance struggle, facing all the bourgeois regimes and governments of the world at the end of the 19th century. With the attack of the current plague, the precarious health systems resulting from looting were highlighted all over the world where disease is a business, health is a commodity and life itself was put at the service of capital as a source of extraordinary profit and accumulation; as imposed by the IMF, OECD and global banking parameters.
With COVID-19, the capitalists and their lackey governments are trying to hide the most terrible pandemic that is plaguing workers and the people is that of hunger. They try to pretend that the current crisis and the measures taken by entrepreneurs and their United States were caused by the coronavirus.
But since before the pandemic, people have been fighting. They stood out in it, the Yellow Vests of France that They challenged the government with the general strike to oppose a labor reform that snatches historic achievements from the working class; Black Vests that, as an organization of African and Algerian migrants, face racism, xenophobia and hunger in the streets; Nissan Barcelona workers, General Motors workers and Mexico's maquilas , along with sugar proletarians in Iran, who faced their valiant struggle against the Ayatollah theocracy.
Likewise, exemplary struggles have emerged in Iraq, workers subjected to the most brutal repression in a country devastated by successive military interventions by imperialist gangs, and go beyond organized protest. The same has been happening in the Middle East, including Palestine, whose people resist the Zionist genocide and a plan for colonization and total expropriation of the territory. The harvest of the struggle flourishes where the fabulous profits of plunder are nourished with the blood of these peoples.
The Bolivian workers and the people who were subjected to the Añez dictatorship imposed by the military coup, the Argentine workers who confront the government of Fernández, a faithful representative of the International Monetary Fund, the workers of Chile facing the government of Piñera, which used the most ferocious repression, using all the violence of the carabiners, showing its Pinochetist heritage.
But the Colombian people resumed its tradition of struggle, with an important you contact point in the already epic 21 of November which led to the mobilization in the streets classes. Hundreds of thousands of student, indigenous and peasant workers there faced the criminal and corrupt regime, based on state terrorism, which continued under the puppet government that appears in the head of the sub - president Duque.
With a scenario of aggression, the imperialist metropolis under Trump did not hesitate to invade and colonize the Middle East in alliance with European imperialism and Israel. The Chinese and Russian bourgeoisies are fighting for the plunder of the privateer. Trump for every step threatens our cities with the southern command. Counting on allies such as the OAS and the Duque lackey government, which the Colombian territory - already occupied by numerous Yankee military bases - lent for the operations of the American troops, trample the country's sovereignty and threaten that of Venezuela. His plan includes invading Sister Republican’s territory to obtain the total loot of oil and other underground materials, controlling the drug trafficking market and the geostrategic space that defines control over the Caribbean and Atlantic axes.
Many fighters around the world were arrested in these battles, which were tortured and many were killed for the sin of confronting and confronting capital. Prisoner fighters are now held hostage by the executioners of the bourgeoisie.
We express from Colombia our internationalist solidarity, our commitment in the fight against capital. In this sense, we join the demand for immediate freedom for more than 5,000 Colombian political prisoners.
We also join the demand for the immediate unconditional release of Sebastián Romero, Argentine worker arrested in Uruguay, as well as the hundreds of political prisoners in Iran, Iraq, Syria, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, France, Spain, Greece, to name just a few countries.
Immediate and unconditional freedom for all political and persecuted prisoners in the world!
We support the fight for unconditional freedom by Comrade Mumia Abu Jamal, an AfricanAmerican journalist and American political activist, who was sentenced to death, whose case under analysis was commuted to life imprisonment. We also demand the release of all comrades of the Black Panthers imprisoned in the Yankee prisons. Unconditional freedom to the maximum d and 10,000 detained comrades in the revolutionary days that span all the United States to win justice in the case of George Floyd! We support the defense committees of the black people and all sectors of the working class and the
Exploited who win the streets inside the imperialist beast! Outside Trump, the leader of the imperialist bandits!
FOR AN INTERNATIONAL MEETING OF WHO FIGHT
We support the proposal to organize a Continental Meeting of All Who Fight, to coordinate actions across America that makes the power of workers and peoples across the continent feel.
