"They are killing us in Colombia! Duque, murderer, stop the massacre of young people!"

To Carlos and to all of you, truly, thank you very much for the configuration and the invitation to this very important event of solidarity with the people of Colombia today. Truly, from Colombia, from the concentration points, from the demonstrations, from the assemblies, we thank the entire Latin American Network for this event and for all the support and solidarity that you have been giving us.
As comrade Carlos said, through the National Trade Union, Social and Popular Coordinating Committee, we have issued the following document:

"THEY ARE KILLING US IN COLOMBIA!
DUQUE, MURDERER, STOP THE MASSACRE OF YOUTH!
At a time when the fighting youth are being immolated in the streets by the brutality of the repressive apparatus of the ESMAD riot squad, the police and paramilitary gangs at the service of the criminal Dictatorship of Duque-Uribe, the solidarity of the peoples of the world, of the organizations of the workers and of the students at world level becomes urgent.
It is necessary that the cry of denunciation THEY ARE KILLING US IN COLOMBIA! transcends borders, in the brotherhood of the peoples who fight against capitalist barbarism and the impositions of the International Monetary Fund, which does not stop massacring the fighters in all latitudes, as has happened in Chile, Ecuador, Bolivia, Palestine, Syria and the Middle East, among others.
The outburst of April 28 in Colombia, unprecedented in history, was precipitated by the government's attempt to impose a tax reform against the wage earners and middle sectors and in favor of big capital, added to the processing of health, labor and pension reforms against the workers and the people.
The response of the regime has been to assassinate the fighters in the streets; the police and paramilitary shoot at the marches under criminal order of the government, assassinate, detain, rape women and disappear young people without any scruples.
