Nos están matando
Enorme jornada de lucha y solidaridad internacional junto a los trabajadores y la resistencia colombiana

“We want to be with you in this denunciation of the Colombian government”
Good afternoon to all the participants of this meeting. Good afternoon to the brother and sister workers of Colombia. A hug to my colleague Nara from Solidaires of France, who is also part of the International Network of Trade Union Solidarity.
We have discussed the situation of the working class around the world, following the Middle East, the struggles in Hong Kong, Myanmar; the situation of Palestine massacred by the State of Israel; the situation of several countries in Africa, such as South Africa, Congo, Senegal, where in addition to hunger and misery, the Covid is now causing many deaths.
Here in Latin America, our siblings in Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay, now Colombia have risen up against this same state of affairs that capitalism is producing.
In Brazil there has been 500,000 deaths from Covid, the result of a very dastardly policy of our government, the Bolsonaro government, an extreme right-wing government, which attacks workers' rights and was negligent with public health. Now there is news of corruption from that government.
But it is not only Covid the issue in Brazil. There are 9 million people going hungry. 120 million in a situation of food insecurity. 14 million unemployed.
More deforestation is happening in Brazil than in all other governments combined. Indigenous peoples are being killed by landowners, by loggers, by agribusiness. The government is doing absolutely nothing to defend the indigenous reserves.
Mobilizations are beginning to appear, even in the midst of the pandemic, even with so many deaths. Inspired by all the struggles, and now by the struggles in Colombia, the Brazilian people has begun to win the streets. Hundreds of thousands throughout the country are coming out to protest against this government, against this policy.
From CSP Conlutas we have been following the situation in Colombia. A deplorable situation, desperate in fact. We want to be with you in this denunciation of the Colombian government. We ask you to send us this document, the materials you have. Write us through WhatsApp, or email, so that you can send us the materials so that we can campaign here in Brazil against the actions of your government, defending the rights of Colombian workers, defending their lives.
We are together, let's fight!
Thank you.
