Good afternoon everyone, I'm Lina from Solidaires (a union in) France. First of all, thanks to all the people who have told us the daily life of the Colombian struggle. All our solidarity for you.
Solidaires is a left-wing and internationalist union organization in France and, obviously, we are in support of everything that is happening in Colombia with mobilizations and denouncing the massacres by capitalism. It is a new proof that the bourgeoisie will kill us when the popular struggle is massive, determined, and dead set to move things forward.
It makes you want to say a lot of things but I don't want to linger. Our organization is part of the Solidarity and Struggle Trade Union Network and, from our organization in France, we have been following the daily news. We have close people, I am Colombian and I have close people who are in the demonstrations with the same situations that have been told here.
That is why we have tried to follow what is happening on a daily basis. People have organized here in France in assemblies and by holding demonstrations and sit-ins to denounce what is happening at the international level, be it here in Paris or Lyon or in other cities.
I want to quickly highlight that the struggle of the people and all the sectors that have mobilized is also an example for the struggles here in France and throughout the world, an example of determination and an example also for us, to organize ourselves and to reflect that we must, as comrade León said, that each one of us in our countries fight and unite to finally transform society and overthrow this capitalism that is killing us.
Finally, I would like to say that it is important that, from the center of capitalism in Europe, we denounce the imperialism that is very present in Colombia, for example, French imperialism. The “Exito” chain has lent its premises to torture protesters. This chain is part of the French "Casino" chain, so it is also important that international organizations also denounce imperialism, which is the one that reaches out to the paramilitaries and the murderous state.
