From Saint-Denis, La Chapelle, Aubervilliers, from the depths of the French labor movement, a cry of rage has come from the undocumented migrants: “We are no longer afraid of the police and death, what we are afraid of is humiliation”. That is why those who have been working in France for a short or a long time or without papers, without rights, without the possibility of having a decent life, have organized. They, who come from Afghanistan, the Middle East, throughout the African continent and have traveled kilometers, leaving their family behind, to get a job that allows them to feed their children.
Their fight is not only for legal documents, but “...against the system that manufactures undocumented people. We fight for a life with dignity”.
The fight of these Yellow Vests, which have turned black with rage, as they say, is the same as that of all the migrants in the world who fight day by day to survive. Many are locked up in refugee camps like in Moria in Greece, many others in camps like in Lebanon, in Syria, hundreds of thousands more trying to cross Mexico to reach the US, or in boats trying to cross the Mediterranean Sea.
Their fight must be taken into their hands by the world working class, which are winning the streets in Iran, Iraq, fighting against General Motors in Matamoros calling for a general strike, rising from the camps to demand decent living conditions, or chewing their anger because the exploiters want to make them work without any security measure. It is the same fight for freedom of the political prisoners in Chile or the Basque prisoners, that organize an international fight for their freedom, or in the Spanish State where migrants have managed to get several CIEs (Internment Center for foreigners) to be closed.
Any migrant worker will feel identified with their call, since they know that as a result of the colonization and looting by the imperialist countries, they have had to leave their country devastated by hunger or war. The Black Vests in response to this say: “We denounce colonialism every time, wars and economic looting carried out by France and other regional or world invading powers.”
Their program is a call to unify the fight of all the migrants in the world and that is why, from the International Workers’ Organizer, we will take it to the last corner of the five continents, to make it known to every migrant, and all the workers› organizations, so that they can make it their own and organize a world struggle together with the Black Vests..
“All those who fight against the state,
exploitation and racism make up our side”
When uniting our combat from the most exploited sectors of the world, hitting like a single and firm fist, the exploiters will tremble and we will shout all together:
Fear has changed sides!
We are all Black Vests!
The same class, the same fight across borders, races, languages and cultures!
For internationalist unity and solidarity among the oppressed!
